Why is Reimu/Yukari so incredibly broken?

Also, Yuyuko is the worst focused shot type of all time.

So then, favorite shot types thread I suppose.

Really? I found Yuyuko spread shot really useful.
Favorite shot type is Marisa B on SA, ZUN should revisit that idea.

Not really, OP. Depends on your playstyle.

If only ;_; Actually possible (and done).

Nah, I'm pretty sure some dude made one himself from a generic cabinet.

Though ZUN should make some PCBs

Nah, it was custom made. IIRC, it cost around 1500$, and a bit of hacking.

Sealing Needle Reimu all day everyday. Anything else is for faggots.

I think it's just an arcade cabinet with custom decals, the monitor hooked up to a PC playing IN and the sticks hooked up to that PC.

That's a laughably bad gap. Yuyuko's spread is pretty effective. Youmu's kinda annoying to use but still.

I like Border, followed by Ghost, followed by Scarlet, and with Magic in last.

That's nothing. I 1cc'ed IN with default lives on normal in around 10 tries with every team.

Except magic.

At some point I should of just given up.

Thats nothing. I still cant 1cc it with any team at all, despite being fairly decent at the other Touhou games.

My favorite shot type.... I don't know.
I like Marisa B in EoSD, Marisa C in MoF, Sakuya A in PCB and, well, Yuyu alone in IN.

I play with any shot type, minus Homing-type Reimu.

>>6646899
Same here. 1CC'd 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10. And I can't beat Imperishable Night.
Why does everyone say that it's easy?

>> No.6647243

>>6647215
No idea. I always thought they were trolling me buy saying IN was the easiest, and EOSD was one of the harder ones. The reverse is true for me. I've 1cc'd EOSD on hard, but can barely scrape a 1cc on easy from IN, with any team.

People say IN is the easiest because of its really lenient overall system (primarily the ridiculously long deathbomb windows), along with the fact that IN easy has extraordinarily fewer bullets than normal when compared to any other game's easy-normal bullet count.

That being said, IN is the game that requires the most memorization for the normal game, as it has the most pure gimmick cards of any of the games (hi Reisen). Once you learn the gimmicks, a lot of cards become completely trivial, whereas before, they felt near impossible.

The gimmick factor is probably there because of (or caused) spellcard practice, which is part of the reason why ZUN doesn't want to bring spellcard practice back, when he even admits it was extremely handy for testing, as it'd encourage more spellcards where you almost have to practice to learn the gimmicks.

Marisa solo is the correct way to experience IN. Have normal cleared, can only get up to stage 4 on Hard. Granted I only used hard at all just to practice for Normal.

Nice, I agree. Keep working on hard mode, once you get used to it its plenty more entertaining than just normal.

Indeed.
>as it has the most pure gimmick cards of any of the games (hi Reisen).
I don't really think it's because of that, so much. Reisen's spellcards are fairly intuitive, maybe not exactly at the first try but certainly from the second onwards. It's pretty immediately clear what they all do.
The memorization of IN comes from the tons of bullets that hard and lunatic spew, and the fact that they all disappear when you burst familiars at the right time. Knowing when/where enemies come out, when they toss bullets and when they toss familiars, is really important to get through with enough room to easily dodge.
