What is your favorite PC-98 Touhou song, /jp/?

Mine is Complete Darkness, but I've been listening the old games OST a lot lately and Peaceful Romancer is awesome. It starts pretty plain but then it gets really awesome, that track gives me a good feeling of keep fighting amidst despair.

Infinite Being. Civilization of Magic (and Sariel's first theme) are really good too. Favorite stage music would probably be End of Daylight.

I think MoF got the best GST, it's lively and just great overall.
But stage 3 from EoSD is the best stage regarding its 2 songs, though.

If you mean which PC-98 one, it's easily easily Lotus Land Story. Inanimate Dream, Sleeping Terror, Bad Apple!!, the original Maiden's Capriccio, Casket of Star... it's unbelievable how many amazing songs are in there.

If you don't mean just PC-98, then I really enjoy both Subterranean Animism, especially for Nuclear Fusion and Hartmann's, and UFO, for its whole different overall feel.

Agreed on LLS. It just has such consistent quality the whole way through. The other games have their share of great songs, but in LLS, there really isn't that much that's just "...meh".

Am I the only one that thinks that Reimu's theme "Capriccio" sounds better as a chiptune than as a normal ZUN song?

Also Mystic Square has the best OST from the PC98 games, bar none.
