Because they were based off of Historical characters that were awesome. I don't know why, but every single girl Based off of Guan-Yu is my creepy obsessive crush. I'm starting to think I might be a very weird variation of gay.

Because on one hand all the characters are reasonably well developed (in terms of traits you pervs) and if they are found lacking they are also based off of well-researched historical figures. So it's not that hard to make them interesting.

On the other hand, the MC has no face. He also has no distinct personality (based off of the small amount of Japanese I can read when I played the JP version)
since being the main character the player is supposed to to push their personality onto him and his decisions (a character that's just constantly reaffirming to only the woman of his dreams and ignores the existence of everyone else isn't that interesting). It would be too much to ask to essentially make a new character from scratch.

In the game it was more interesting because he was a fairly decent strategist and also no one begrudged him for it. It probably wouldn't play out that well being a show since they'd need more time to display his usefulness as "master strategist" is a bit harder to display than say "shoots fireballs from her staff".

umm I'm sorry to say I have no idea what you're talking about, I bought a Japanese laptop from an exchange student to play my VNs (he needed a plane ticket home since he spent his cash on booze and music, I needed a way to reliably play doujin games, it was win-win)

Anyone else notice that there are a lot of spelling errors and mistranslations in the game?
Also the fact that Aisha randomly switches from Medieval English to Shakespearean English at the drop of a hate? I like how they keep her dialog formal aside from that though, the lack of contractions helps.

Also anyone else think the idea of holding back the voices till you meet a certain sales point is kind of a dumb move?
Especially in a genre that is mainly text and images that could be easily extracted from your version and placed into the original version with a simple installer to over-write the files?

And another thing, are they still doing a physical release of this game? If so are the voices going to be on the disc already and need a key to unlock or will it be download only?
