I didn't find Narcissu baw-inducing though. It felt pretty calm throughout, also the girl was horribly boring and lacked personality.

I guess Muvluv Unlimited was the last thing to really get me though.

I teared up at the end of EP5 of umineko with natsuhi breaking down, even though I don't remember it being particulary THAT sad. I think it was the music.

Otakus play VNs
Otakus need to play games with peoples lives that are sadder than their own so they atleast don't feel so bad.

Still makes no sense. It would just make them more sad.
If it was really for Otakus it should be stories that will make them feel awesome like Sharin no Kuni

No Symphonic Rain yet?

Pretty much every Nakige I've read was successful on its purpose.

The best genre of VNs, yet it can be shitty with ease.

How long does Symphonic Rain take? I'm slowly making my way through it but it's the most boring one I've played, even with the minigame. I want to hurry up and finish it so I can start Sekien no Inganock

>> No.6631990

Most VNs that try to be more then porn delivery vehicles tend to be dramas.

These, when done right, are mean to make you feel powerful emotions as you feel what the characters are struggling through.

>> No.6631993

>>6631960
Depends on your own reading speed. But around 30 hours I guess.

You shouldn't force yourself to play it if you are not enjoying it by the way. Inganock is great too and has a whole different setting so you maybe you should just go read it already.

Don't know how you are not enjoying it though.. oh well.

What about True Remembrance, /jp/? If I remember correctly it was released in 2004 and then in 2006 a new version with better engine, OP, etc and with along with all that a continuity to the story (and that's what I'm not sure. If it was more plot to complete the story or just extra images), if you play only the 2004 content it's probably one of the most depressing endings out there.

Just keep reading, you should get to the part I mentioned soon enough. (it won't be as good as it could now that you've read that but..)

Actually, why is it taking so long? You must be reading only a bit every time because it's a short VN you know?

i wanted to post about this last night when i finished it but i figured it was too old by now. (not that i could have because i was crying so fucking hard.)
