So I just finished playing YMK, and I gotta say I loved it. I'm looking for more VNs like it. So far, I'm thinking of Kana: Little Sister and Crescendo. Anyone other suggestions /jp/?

Hi newfriend.
I see you found that old "recommended" list, sadly it is old and busted. The new "newfriends VNs" is Sharin no kuni. After that you can try a long game like Fate or Ever17. Then try some love it or hate it classics like Symphonic rain and cross channel.


Symphonic rain is incidentally my favorite VN behind little busters. You might want to give it a try, especially if you love easy music.
Kira Kira is also a very good starter VN with a fun story, and greatly entertaining characters.

If you can read japanese just do Little busters, although I hear the translation is coming along nicely.

let me be the first to advise against playing sharin no kuni. You will be putting with misery until the last 2 chapters (natsumi <3) and the ending is shonen and cheesy.

Especially if you have not played many vn's...play some other ones first before sharin no kuni.

Kana and Crescendo are relics of the past and not really worth reading when there are already a ton of other, better VNs translated. Just give any of the earlier Anon's (>>6627418) recommendations a try.

I'm kind of disappointed that Natsumi didn't get her own bad end. Sachi has two where you either fail to save her in that one part in the cave or if you let her give up drawing and use your own money (and get delicious Footsie of Death). Touka gets one if you let her mother die. Kenichi gets his own if you mess up in the final chapter.

Well, no matter it being a VN or not, it is stil a Galge, with several heroines and routes with various endings with them.
ll of it revolves around the heroines.

But anyway, I can still sort of understand it considering how the Dive part of the game is purely VN, and the dive part is about 50% of the games.

I gues I could accept either.
It's still a wonderful galge however.
