I need $50 by the end of the week, it's pretty important. The most valuable single item in my apartment that I own is either my Cardcaptor Sakura Artbook in Japanese or my 1/6 red Mikuru bunnygirl figure. If I were to pawn one of these (I would never sell them mind you) what's the worth? I don't see the Japanese artbook anywhere for sale online although the English one sells around $120-150. The 1/6 black Mikuru figure sells around $120 if you can find it but what about the red? Is it worth any more because it's the color she wore in the show? Having some overall price guide before I go in to negotiate with a pawn broker will be helpful provided they even know what the value of anime collectibles would be.

I'd rather not pawn either but the situation is desperate.

That's one fear but I'm assuming he could just dump it on Ebay and get $120 out of it ... right? I mean, it's not junk.

He only offered me $20 for my TV because it's not HD. The next most valuable object is probably my Xbox 360 but it's beat to hell and makes loud noises when it's on. I have 2 games but he'd only offer me $5 each. The only other thing I can think of is dumping my anime collection but that would be annoying piecing out. Much easier dealing with 1 item than 20 and his offer for $5 for each Xbox game took me at a surprise.

God, if only there were some way of selling online without actually selling. Like a global pawn store online.

My aunt who's currently out of town lets me do work for her for money. I'm in school so my parents pay for all my stuff with one exception, my cell phone. They didn't want me to get one so they refuse to pay for it regardless of the fact that my roommates refused to pay for a land line because they all had cell phones so now I have no phone at all, land line or cell. Since my cousin got married 2 weeks ago I've been unable to contact my aunt and now I have no phone.

Long story? Sure. But that's how it goes.

Yes but I'm applying for jobs, have several resume's out, and no way to contact employers or for employers to contact me. My parents are total jerks by the way, the were willing to pay for the entirety of the land line but I made the choice to get a cell phone.

Interestingly enough if I had opted for a land line and still bought a cell phone I'd be in this same situation ... with a land line. My mistake for not thinking but once I got the phone I upset my parents so I brought this on myself.
