How are you liking the anarchy, /jp/?
Personally I don't see anything different. Have some 3DPD.

Why so hostile? I asked a civilized question.

Presumably at least one other janitor is still watching the board, since stuff is still being deleted? Anyway, I bet we'll really start missing her over winter break or whenever the next invasion hits.

Also, she's cute.

Dislike it.
I tried to overcome it with some good threads, bump the forgotten and encourage discussion.

I think I might just leave, it makes no sense to keep coming back and get upset with seeing spam plastered over the front page, spam that would usually would be deleted in minutes.
It's a shame, but so it goes. Decay catches up with everyone, it's time to move on.

Here's a distraction.

It isn't anarchy, every once in awhile some janitor comes through. Same as usual, but now much more summer

Without an opposing force, the sion troops find no pleasure in shitting up the board anymore.

The rest of us have developed our cytotoxic abilities to a maximum; foreign objects don't scare us.

The /jp/ organism is perfect.

Now fuck off.

Not really. This other janitor only deletes fully off-topic stuff and doesn't bother deleting the offensively bad related threads.

That's what I thought would happen, the spammers getting bored and finding new sources of amusement.
Still seeing the same number of spam threads after a couple days. Maybe it will take a few weeks to take.
The biggest difference is that at least the threads can be hidden and they will stay there, ready to be ignored. Not like before, where threads would be made and deleted for hours and we had to deal with those eyesores on page 0.

>> No.6574818

>>6574809
That's because half the shit you bitch about doesn't actually matter.

>> No.6574819

I don't like it. The issue isn't even invasion and raids, those are obvious and go away after a while, and you can find and remake the threads which 404. The real problem is that the overall posting level of the board seems to have gone down substantially in just a week or so.

Recently /jp/ just hasn't felt like home anymore.

>> No.6574822

>>6574809
So basically no change, from my perspective. A lot more shitposts though

Pretty much. Spam and stuff can easily be ignored, but not the posts inside of threads about subjects you like.

This guy gets it.

Guys, if you can't take it, now's your chance. Run back to your forums so mommy and daddy can babysit you while you surf the big, scary internet.

Or hell just go get a life. Stop bickering about meaningless shit with 16 year olds all day long.

Me, I like it here. Always have. Always will. Taking it easy.

Like I said, the /jp/ organism is designed to survive for long periods of time without external Meido-vaccines. The sion cells merely function as an immunity system, making the organism more resistant.

/jp/ will survive.

4chan global rule number 6 is too open for interpretation. What determines quality? Where's the cutoff line?
The previous janitor had a high standard, too high some could say. Maybe it's better to take it easy and have someone to deal with just the spam.

Not working for me though, the standard has gone down and I don't find enjoyment coming here anymore. Except for a couple threads, it's not worth the time.

Look at this think tank we got working here tonight! For the first time in a long time the synapses are flowing again; /jp/ is coming alive with rational thought. Way to go /jp/. I knew you'd be able to stand up on your own again someday.

/jp/ is starting to look a lot like /a/ 2008, dozens of people complaining about the quality of the board, many threads started by newfriends, spam, normalfags, shitty memes from other boards, etc, this just announces disaster.

Newfriends and new discussion are critical to keeping /jp/ functioning though. Because sooner or later we'll get bored, and our existing oldies will get bored and leave, and /jp/ will die.

Basically:
- Too high standards, we look like jerks, and don't attract potential contributors.
- Too low we become /b/.

There has to be a balance. At the moment it's not an ideal one.

By these you mean /ɐ/ denizens, babby's first VN threads, Touhou secondaries just being secondaries, etc., I can confidently say that /jp/ is in a coma.

Newfriends who aren't terrible posters acclimate to a hostile board. /jp/ has told me off two or three times when I was new because I wasn't conforming to board expectations (eg shitposting) and subsequently I learned not to act like a retard.

>> No.6575008,1 [INTERNAL]

>>6575008
I think it weeds out some low quality posters but also some potentially high quality posters. So really no net gain. And also that frequent anger posting and complaining about quality just degrades the board even further.

>>6574996
Stop implying that I want a low quality threshold. The problem with your reasoning, is that in order to have quality control you first need quality, which /jp/ has been lacking, even from its own posters.
