I've got a question that maybe /jp/ could answer.

Is there anything I can buy to stop forced entry of an ordinary household door? I don't have a lock on the door to my room and I can't get one, nor is there anything heavy or light enough to move back and forth to use as a barricade. I can't modify the door in any way either.

Any ideas?

You could always buy two of those magic hanger things that you can remove easily a certain way, but any other way is impossible...
Put one on your wall near the door, and another on the door itself, and then hang a chain or something like that on both of them.
Make sure it's tight, too.

Here's the step to step of what I would do:

Hide camera (a bush, behind the sofa, anywhere where he doesn't notice)

Find him and provoke abuse (don't make it too obvious)

Wait for him to go/go yourself and come back later to pick up the camera.

Upload the video to various storage server using a password.

Announce you have the video to him, show it to him, and procede to destroy the camera.

Tell him about the fact you only know where the video is hidden, somewhere on the internet. That way if he breaks up your pc, you'll have no problem getting it back.

Work some kind of deal/report him (that depends on you)

From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank the Anon who recommended the camera. I was able to avert a knockdown brawl by pulling out my digital camera at the critical moment. He literally changed his tone mid-sentence, and chose his words very, very carefully for the rest of the encounter.

It was very satisfying to whip out the camera and say, "Know what this is? This is a digital video recorder. This is evidence."

From now on, I'm going to carry it around with me. Picture feels related.
