Hey /jp/, an old bro from /a/ here.

I didn't come to start any trouble, I just heard some shit's been going down here. What happened?

You're always welcome back to /a/ if you have no where to go.

If it makes you feel better, most of us can't stand that stuff either /a/'s very diverse with it's anime. There are barely any Naruto or DBZ threads, when there are, they usually sink very quickly..

Either way, the offer is still open for whenever you wanna take it.

/a/ is a pretty cool board if you can ignore the userbase which is almost entirely underage and casualfags.
/jp/ is a pretty cool board if you want to discuss why it's so shitty.

>> No.6561116

The only way I'd ally with someone from /a/ is if we can make a pact to rid /a/ of the newfag cancer plaguing it.

We're like North and South Korea here. In one context we hate the everloving shit out of each other but on the other hand, it was an induced split and drove a deep wedge between people who like anime/manga, Touhou and VNs all the same.

A reunified sector of the boards would be much more resistant to getting infested with the newfags shitting up /a/, since the /jp/ core usergroup will scare them off for you.

Oh right and OP, there was some drama about our janitor (meido) quitting but apparently, it was actually just a ruse/successful troll.

I don't know what you're talking about. /g/ used to be elitist, but at it's current rate it's quickly just becoming /b/'s tech support, and no one there seems to have any problem with it anymore. I see people posting porn of disgusting plastic whores asking for help on what new program to use instead of Limewire, and instead of being trolled into oblivion, they get actual help. Great elitism you got going on.

As for /mu/, they're still slightly elitist, but only because the board is quickly becoming a tripfag circlejerk. Anonymous posters are becoming the minority there. I give it another year before it turns into a blog about tripfags' new garage music projects.

For the topic at hand, I think I'll pass, OP. /a/ is an absolute shithole ever since you lost us. Without the elitism it's become acceptable to have garbage like Naruto. I'll stick to /jp/, and you can enjoy your doubles threads.

The worst part is I can't even go there anymore without seeing shit like that multiple times a day. And like I said, they still get help from /g/ and it just baffles me why they put up with that shit.

It's the same as how the few times I check on /a/ and I see some idiot make a "where do i dl animes?? thx" thread, and besides a few people telling them to fuck off, there's still always, usually more than one, person that comes in and helps them. Anyways.. It's really up to you guys what you want, and if that whole janitor thread was just a troll, then that's fine. Atleast it means your board won't be plagued with spam, CP and all that other shit from /b/.

Although I don't really appreciate it when some of you look down on /a/ .. Like I mentioned earlier, Almost all of /a/ hates Naruto and all the other shitty anime that you guys also seem to dislike.

No one is just helping people out, we also encourage them to seek out their own resources instead of, LOL HOW DO I INSTALL GAMES ON MY MAC WAT ARE SYSTEM SPECS?

It's this kind of attitude of not helping others and considering that they are morons that brings /jp/ into hatred by most other boards. I don't care, you don't care, but if you don't think that there is something wrong with your views, then you need to re-evaluate your position in life.

You're absolutely right. You aren't helping them at all. You just spoon-feed them everything they asked for and don't encourage them to lurk the board or to use Google. The more you spoon-feed all the idiots, the more often they'll come back to your board and just ask to be spoon-fed some more.

It's one thing to offer advice to someone who legitimately needs it, but it's a problem when you spoon-feed people who are blatantly violating your board's rules and just wind up encouraging more of their kind to come do the same.

I'm all for helping people out in stuff like system build threads, when they already have a screenshot or link to their wishlist with parts they've already chosen themselves and are asking for advice and more knowledgeable people about it.
