Yeah that sucks about this.

I wonder if these sales are working for HLJ. I mean I like them a lot, but their prices are still not that great usually. So I rarely end up buying figures from them.

キタ━━━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━━━!!!!!

I just got back from the post office. An $50 import tax, fees, tax on fees, etc. to an already expensive figurine.

But I'll do it again. I know it.

>>6548591

Nice fig!

I will say, I am an Australian and I have never been charged taxes for imports. Never, for figs, pipe tobacco, a J360 and countless games. I'm really not sure why. A friend of mine in Britain paid something like 120pound for his J360 when he got it, really fucking brutal.

>> No.6548626

They also have a 50% off Fed Ex shipping sale right now as well, so it'll come out to cheaper than HobbySearch and AmiAmi with that.

>> No.6548652

God damn it, one of the figs I bought from amiami yesterday is now cheaper at HLJ.

My package finally arrived yesterday.

I really find the Yukari fig lovely. I just stared at her for a good 1 hour without me noticing it.

The jigsaw puzzle that came with is hard as hell. The pieces are really tiny.

The second fig in my package is Revoltech's Yotsuba. This is the first time I've ever gotten a poseable fig/toy(?) so doing stuff with it is really fun. Her left arm is kind of hard to move, but I'm gonna fix that later or tomorrow, or after I finish Yukari's jigsaw puzzle.

Damn, that looks wonderful! Is that a Garage Kit?

"Looks like I'll be buying another Yukari fig" is what my mind is saying, but it's highly unlikely right now since the money I separated for figures is only around $200. Until next time, I suppose.

Also, other things I bought. You can see Yukari's base.

Still need 4 more of them. Saber Lily must be extremely expensive now.

Finally got Dead Master out of her box.
The base is rocking a bit, which is about the only negative remark I have, I think.

I love how it matches the BRS with both the base and the chain.

Can't wait until Christmas is over so I can get my arrangement back to normal.
I guess I'll have to get some lighting for them since their poses aren't really showing their (nice) faces with just my regular desk lamp.

Their sales are the only reason I ever shop there. Despite that, they still seem to be doing good business; I know a decent amount of people who don't shop at Amiami because "they're new" (their reasoning not mine). Of course, those people also hate anime figs and just want diecast robots from Bandai.

I guess brand loyalty can go a long way.
