ITT: Game Idea: Alice Searchs for her Stolen Precious Things in a bizzare new world. She collects different beams for her dolls, and alternently bombs and other projectiles/spell cards.

Moon fits perfectly. Isolation, check. Lunarians are behind their own barrier thing and the rest of it is totally empty and desolate. It's canon in Touhou and it also fits because Japan is the moon. And it gives you an excuse to use moon rabbits as enemies, and they have the hottest fucking uniform ever. I love Reisen SO MUCH.

So as for plot... well, the beginning with Ridley seems simple enough. Ridley = Marisa, the Metroid = Alice's independent doll. Of course, it's a Marisa doll. So Alice's dream finally comes true but Marisa comes along and steals it and launches her to the moon because nobody loves her. Isn't it sad, Alice?

I don't know why Marisa and the doll would then also wind up on the moon, though.
