Upgrade your stuff. The higher the difficulty of the material, the more exp you net from the process. Equip Heart Pendent to make this faster, also higher level weapons sell more.

Yes, you either tame them or beat them up for drops. 5k per bottle of lv10 Milk is worth it. Keep a cow so you can just keep making Milk related stuff to up your cooking skill.

If you have the recipe for yellowtail sashimi, you can make sashimi out of all of them and sell it for over 10k apiece. Be sure to save your game first though, just in case you mess up...yellowtail are kind of hard to catch.

I'm halfway through spring and I noticed that crafting yarn from small/medium fleece is a lot more profitable than farming, it completely depletes my rp bar when I'm done but it consumes no time and allows me to spend the day doing quests instead of running around collecting/slicing crops, and there's always the option of taking a bath during the day

Fireflower seeds cost 260 each, and they sell for at least 1200 once they're grown. Just spam the hell outta them. Make sure you sell at least one of the seeds that drop when you harvest, it'll make the shops start selling higher level seeds. They don't even charge more for them.

Is there any way to beat that would-be Carnotaurus, the horned people village boss? His attacks suck (his bone barrage always has the same safe spot, the only worry is keeping your retarded pets out of the way) but so do mine, I only do 8-10 per sword swing. I brought swordplants and they hit pretty hard (I've gotten him down to flashing health) but I always run out of stamina before he dies. How much HP does he have, anyway? Yue holds a lot of gamebreaking potential, especially if you savescum(since her inventory is randomized everytime you reload). Also, she's a good way to get eggs or milk. True, it's low level, but if your cooking is high enough, it won't matter. Btw, can you grow hot-hot fruits? I'd like to have them just like... 3 levels higher so I can make level 10 porridge.

Well, she also loves super fail. Which can be relatively easier to get via cooking. But anyway, I get all the super fails/rare cans I need for wooing Sofia from Yue. Super Fail is cheaper and you can hold it in stacks of 9, which you can't for rare cans.

Grinding cooking seems to be by far the best way to make money.
Anyway, early on you can:
Get pink turnips to level 10(if you prepare the soil with withered grass, you can do this in like, 5-6 days).
Farm/buy level 10 pink turnips, depending on the season/availability at the shop.
Make level 10 pickled turnips.
Ship.
Profit.

Now that I have 99 in cooking, I can just buy medium cheese*4 from Yue, flour from Yue/Karina, make level 9 bread with the flour, and make fondue for about 30k net profit. It's kinda slow with two passages, however, but I make 30k for a 3k investment. I'm sure there's other stuff I could make, but this one uses only two types of items. Btw, it should be largely profitable even with less cooking skills.

I also made dumplings for RP recovery.
When Yue had eggs, I bought about 90 and made 90 puddings for better RP recovery.
That's pretty much it really. I was at like... 83 this morning, got to 99 after some grinding.

Yes, there is no point where they stop giving you points. For other crafts it makes sense to get the mats for some impossible item, but for cooking grinding low levels is best (and profitable, early on).

Then the seed you want to level, Formula (C is better) and Greenifier. Plant that seed on said soil (+1 level, need confirmation), use Formula C (+1 level, same), water everyday. Once it's ready to harvest, use Greenifier (+1 level, can be done any time), and then use sickle to get +1 level seed (or you can just pick it up to see if it randomly drop seed; if it's not just reload).

Ship that leveled seed to the shipping bin so they're now available at General or Flower Store. Repeat until you get Lvl 10 variant.

Personally, I find that's a bit of overkill for some stuff, since it can be costly/unavailable if you just started.
If you have say... 1500 moneys, during spring, you can start pink turnips like this:
1)buy 9 blue charm seeds, plant on 3*3 square, do whatever and let a day pass.
2)should have withered grass, hoe it in on the spot without even picking it up.
3)buy 9 more blue charm seeds, and 9 pink turnips, plant the turnips where the withered grass was, and the blue charms in another 3*3 square.
4)When the turnips grow(should take 1 day less than normal), just get them, ship any seed you find, pickle the turnips and sell them.
5)Repeat 2 to 4 until the turnips are level 10.
6)Buy a bazillion turnip seeds, plant them everywhere, pickle all of them.(it's still more efficient to plant blue charms and let them wither first, since even if you lose a day doing this, turnips take 1 day less to grow, and your soil won't tire). This works better when you have access to better tools, but you'll level a lot of farming-related stuff doing this manually.
7)Suddenly, money doesn't look like a problem anymore and you're leveling and getting stat points from runes like a motherfucker.

After the continuous obliteration of my crops during summer due to the constant storms I stopped bothering to farm crops and just go out and kill monsters for their drops all day.

Sol Terrano: Bone Bridge is good for that, the pineapple things drop, well, pineapples, which when turned into juice sell for 4500g each, and the slimes drop gems which sell for ~500g each.
