I'm learning Japanese right now, and I'm wondering how long it should take, (approximately) to become fluent. I do around an hour or two a day.

not sure how reliable it is, and I could be forgetting, but I think some language institute said it was somewhere around 1000 hours for japanese (as opposed to like 300 for french) for basic fluency.

Ive been studying for around 9 months now and I still feel like I know nothing. Around 2 to 4 hours of studying or reading a day. I can comprehend simple dialog and grasp what is going on in VNs and stuff, but it is almost always a fuzzy guess.
