Yeah, like anon said, SA seems to be the biggest transgressor so far with Rin taking up literally one third of the game's boss and midboss slots (disregarding the Extra stage).

ZUN himself said he wouldn't want to constantly rehash the same old characters, but it appears he is becoming saturated (and quite frankly I don't like UFO characters that much, with a few exceptions). I wonder how long he can keep it up. Are we going to have Touhou 19? Touhou 26? Will fans become bored with different frilly hats?

Then again, the guy is completely unpredictable, bless his drunken little yellow soul. The 13th game might be completely awesome and packed full of new characters, or it could be CAMEOS, CAMEOS EVERYWHERE. I won't mind either way.
