Whenever I feel really bad and depressed, I go over to /r9k/ and instantly cheer up. It's great to have someone that is so much worse off than you to make you feel better. What makes them really pitiful is that while /jp/ is socialy awkward, we only see interacting as something we have to get out of the way to move on with the things we really enjoy. To /r9k/, interaction is what they live life for, it's the ultimate goal of all their hobbies and what gets them out of bed in the morning. And they suck at it just as much as /jp/ if not worse. Fembot here to say that /r9k/ isn't all that bad; sure, there are way too many 'cheer me up I'm depressed' threads, but it's nice, because you can just chat in there, and don't have to be on topic with anything. True, there a lot of rude, sexist ass holes but I'm convinced it's that way on every 4chan board.

The point is that you get to actually talk about things that have happened to you, and don't *just* have to stick to hobbies. Besides, when you get sick of all the ronery threads, that's what the other boards are for. >3<

Wait, what? It absolutely is. /jp/ isn't anything like high school, we should be beyond petty pretenses like being popular for the sole merit thereof. Sure, I guess thoughtless is relatively infamous, but it's not quite the same. That's not the point, though -- people are "popular" (though I think the better term is "widely liked," or at least "more liked than they are hated," that seems to be what mr. celestial is aiming for) because they are interesting or they contribute something somehow.

Thereby, If you're not popular now, guess what? You don't succeed in either area, and continually imposing your presence on /jp/ isn't going to do anything for your "public standing. While part of it is a matter of your piss poor conduct, the content of what you discuss is equally deplorable. You should seek to improve both. I'd also recommend lowering your expectations while you continue to cling to this identity, nobody that's been here for long is going to respect you.

>I don't know what something is, but I know what it isn't
...Or so you think. You go to a hospital so you won't be sick, and being sick is the opposite of fun. Sure, having someone take care after you is kinda fun, but the sickness itself isn't.
Books are fun. But I know that some people don't find them as such, but they still read them. Why? Because they find them usefull for things like work, which in return is usefull for things like money, which in can be spent on things you like.

When it all comes down, people commit suicide solely out of serious lack of fun. Isn't this fact enough to deduce that having fun is the meaning of life?

Hedonist fuck, don't try to justify your selfishness.

What selfishness? In no way I'm implying that my fun is more important than others fun, nor the other way around.
