It works both ways. A poor girl that has learned to be content should be able to look past how much the guy is worth but a poor girl that has ambitions will go for a rich guy. A rich girl that is given everything she wants shouldn't see any need to consider how much the guy is worth but an ambitious rich girl that has ideas of her own and doesn't want to keep living on her family's money might want a rich guy.
