I'm moving out next month and I need ideas to decorate my new house. Especially my room, since it's where my computer will be, and I spend 90% of my time there.

How is your place?

Poor thing, you must be traumatized.

>> No.6459311

I don't care about such trivial things, sorry. I rather spend money on my figs and other stuff.

>> No.6459318

What a silly question to ask /jp/. Get figs and posters.

Get out, normalfag.

I keep my home dark, cold, empty and barren. Just like my soul.

Aren't figs part of the decoration?

>> No.6459324

What a dumb question. Do you think anyone on /jp/ is an interior designer? Make your room how you want it to look, fuck.

The corner where my bed is has blue walls, and there's this poster that came with some dictionary for Japanese elementary school kids that I bought, as well as a wall-mounted bookshelf with some stuff on it.
Apart from that, I have bare white walls like an asylum.

I'm not looking for a designer, I'm looking for ideas.

If I knew how I want it to look like I wouldn't be asking.

Yeah but it's not the PLACE itself. Well... Even so I would say to invest only on crucial things like that instead of painting your walls or something like that.

Do you own a house or did you rent an apartment?

I keep everything in neutral colours (white/beige) with the cheapest furniture I can get my hands on (usually secondhand). Nobody but me ever sees it so it doesn't matter if it looks pretty, just not irritating to me.

>> No.6459357

My walls are wood paneling. I dont fuck them up with tacky posters. Learn some class.

I'm renting a house, so I'm allowed to paint if necessary.

So basically you want some inspiration how to decorate your room so you can relax and enjoy your hobbies there while normalfags only see your normalfaggish living room?

Sounds like fun.

Wood walls are ugly as sin, imo. Although, I can understand not wanting to ding them with pins/nails etc, since you can't spackle those out with wood.

sure, get some touhou stencils and spray paint. Or draw with a pencil. Who cares anyway.

Pretty much, yeah.
But it's not like normalfags are visiting 24/7. Occassionally my family.

>> No.6459397

Perhaps you should look at better wood panneling.

>> No.6459415

You have to decide on if you either have a classy room or a plain one.
If you are a REALLY lazy fuck just build something out of bricks and wooden pannels.

>> No.6459417

Don't plaster your walls with a bunch of Megami posters or similar shit. If you want some of your favorite characters on the walls, pick a few really nice pieces. If you have the money, get them framed. Coordinate the colors and paint the walls as well if you'd like. Painting isn't that hard to do yourself, and you might enjoy it. /jp/ isn't the place to ask about this really. Are you buying furniture, do you have your own, etc, etc.

I dont think you know what bricks are.

Feel free to link some because I've never been in a room that didn't look like ass with wood paneling

And I think you don't know that two bricks can hold one wooden pannel.

Only furniture I've bought(or rather, my parents bought for me) since we moved in when I was 4 or so were few generations of desk chairs.
Rest is hand me downs from my older sister or elsewhere - mostly cheap stuff covered with scratches and blemishes.
Parts of my walls are wallpapered, but the wallpaper strips are coming off - if I as much as touch it it comes off, sometimes taking some paint from underneath with it.
The linoleum covering the floorboards is worn down and full of holes.
Mold is starting to grow in a corner of the ceiling and there are few cracks in the plaster.
It's not a very pleasant room.
It's not like my family is poor or anything - my parents just don't like spending money on me, and I can't buy anything myself, what with being a NEET and all.
I wouldn't mind it, really, as I'm more or less a parasite by now - but even when I weren't yet they told me there was no money to buy me a new bed(despite the fact that the current one is just a bit too short and hurts my back) while my mother bought herself a 1K$+ set of wool bedding. And that amount of money would be more than enough to buy an entire set of furniture, and renovate most of the room.
