Here is a rundown of some Shinto deities.

Amaterasu: Whiny bitch with the personality of a 14 year old. What kind of patron deity throws temper tantrums, for fuck's sake? Look at Osiris and Odin, both of them literally died (well, only sort of for Odin) and they didn't even care. Her only redeeming aspect is that she sometimes grows a dick and fucks the Emperor's wife.
Susanoo: Give some retard from /b/ real ultimate power and you have Susanoo. His understanding of entertainment involves throwing flayed ponies at people.
Ame-no-Uzume: Tries to solve all problems by baring her breasts at them. So, pretty much your average 3D whore.
Sarutahiko: Has a big nose, and reportedly his face and ass shines. He's also supposed to be a gate guard, but who cares about that? He can shoot lasers out of his ass. If SDM hired him, Marisa would've had no chance, dude shits Master Sparks.
Yagokoro Omoikane: Supposedly smartest of the bunch. Still can't get Amaterasu out of a fucking cave.
Takeminakata: Abaddon the Despoiler, Shinto edition. Almost as big a failure, and he has no arms. Just like Abaddon.
Okuninushi: The only decent guy in Japan (except the Ainu deities, who were awesome. ) if you discount the times he turns into a giant snake to stab women in the cunt and rain congenital disorders at people. Which is all the time. Okuninushi was very creative with this whole "evil overlord" thing.
Takeinadane: A giant penis. Very funny, Japan.
Yamasachihiko: Yamasachihiko is famous for being a master huntsman. Oh yeah, he also shagged a fucking shark and had kids out of her.
Kagutsuchi: Well, he's an okay guy. You can't help but feel sad for the dude, but he's also indirectly responsible for the next three, so fuck him.
Kanayamabime, Haniyasubime and Mitsuhanome: Goddesses formed out of Izanami's vomit, shit and pee, respectively. I bet someone out there has a fetish for slime girls made out of urine. Or vomit.
