I'm currently reading the novels and I have to know, does Itsuwa eventually fade into obscurity? She has to be the worst and most boring Index heroine. Her fight against Acqua was just terrible.

I generally skipped all instances that contained her so I couldn't say for sure. I don't recall seeing her in the latter volumes of the series though.
