You need to read up on your vampire lore, well depends on which kind of vampire I guess.

Still tho in the case of consuming ones like Nero or Alucard, they become effectively mindless. In both cases they retain nothing of themselves and serve the vampire unquestioningly.
In Nero's case he has no direct control over them, in Alucard's case he can "unleash" them to do his bidding.

The power may live on, but I don't see how any conscious memory or personality would.
