I said it a few threads ago, but I'm going to throw it out there again.

We really should be using a VPN for this.

Advantages:
-Not posting your external IP on a board a few clicks away from /b/ and /g/.
-No need to port forward
-Nice list of who is connected - including chat function so that games could be arranged a bit easier
-Reduced lag (in many cases, might not help all that much depending on the situation, but it wont hurt either)

Disadvantages:
-Third party client required
-Single VPN can only host up to 16 players at once. (Solved my using multiple VPNs if necessary)
-If you foul up your security settings it's just as bad as posting your external IP

It's easily available to any machine you access. However, it isn't just floating around - and it can't be easily tied to you - not unless you give it away (or your ISP gets a court order to give it up). Even on IRC for example, using a hostmask no one aside from the server will have access to it.

Ah, no, it would help you deal some damage. Most of your attacks were the result of me flying up to you and happening to get the timing wrong. If I wanted to, I could just sit there and graze all day. Bullets are meant to cover your approach, not as a primary offense.

And once I knew you always tried to escape by flying upwards, it was easy to keep you down. Teching/escape methods have to vary.

You just have to take the beatings and learn by yourself. Watching replays of high-level players also helps quite a bit, also, spend some time in training mode to get used to the movement of your character. Please, don't let other people tell you what character to use, either. Some people will complain about everything, just ignore those people.

Reading the wiki and learning some combos/blockstrings will also help out quite a bit.

How do I beat it? Most attacks seem to barely do damage, except at certain times when I do a ton of damage, but I can't get the timing down. When is the time to attack?

Good games, Duckator. You've skilled up quite a bit since we last played, my Suika ended up doing far better than my Meiling. I should get better against campier players, but I hate it when games drag on so long. That 3A hitbox is fucking brutal, and combined with the fact that a typical hitconfirm from it will yield around 1800, this was my face the entire match.

It is. I'd say it's tied for second with Komachi's as the best 3A in the game. That being said, you did a great job of standing just outside its range and punishing it whenever I whiffed it.

Yes, I admit that I forced quite a few of those typhoons, because it was the only way I felt truly safe approaching and trading due to your timeknives + 3A/623 style. I was hoping to get you with massacre once, but you pay more attention to my cards than a lot of people. Usually if I stay 2 or 3 cards away than scroll through really quick, people will block on the superflash rather than jump.

Also, those 2A whiffs into 3As that you did a lot made me sad. I'll really have to keep a note on how fast you recover from certain whiffed moves.

Tch. Sakuya was my second guess. Ever since I tried to start teaching myself characters without good air to ground moves, I've been super sensitive to how brutal both of their 3As are. Nothing like being knocked out of tackle moves without even trading hits.

Well, while Sky Dragon Kick looks impressive, it's not what it used to be. The main reason I don't use it anymore is that I got elbow'd by Youmu a bit too many times using it.

I still prefer it to the other alt 22 though but find the default move to best suit my play.
