Are there any japanese sites like gelbooru? I already know about pixiv, but it's more like a japanese deviant art than gelbooru isn't it? It's just for artists to upload their own stuff, isn't there one that just archives images?

As far as pure Japanese sites go, I don't know of any beyond Danbooru/Gelbooru, as most of the images come straight from Pixiv or other Japanese sites.

Well I've noticed theres a lot of stuff on gelbooru etc. that isn't from pixiv, and stuff on pixiv that isn't on gelbooru etc.

In the entire world, spat is short for 'spatterdashes' (things that go on your shoes)

In Japan only, spat is short for 'sports pants' (biker shorts as known in everywhere else)

As you can see, neither is incorrect, but they clearly mean different things.

If you are an English speaker, I recommend you only use the word spats to refer to spatterdashes and refer to biker short and biker short or sports pants if you're really that inclined to use the Japanese version.
