Okay I have a question for English people.
We had a huge debate about whether the English(or British) people would be offended by a game where King Arthur is depicted as a girl that engages in sexual intercourses with a Japanese boy.
So, are you actually offended by Fate/stay night and its sequels?

If you wanted a representative sample of British people to accurately gauge public opinion on F/SN, you came to the wrong place.

Nope. Actually I'm thankful to Japan for giving me the opportunity to fuck King Arthur in the vagina.

No clue, but as an American, I know I wouldn't be offended by an eroge that depicted George Washington as a girl who gets fucked by a Japanese guy. In fact an American Revolution eroge might be awesome.

Yeah, we're hardly a representative sample of the British public.

But No.

So how is it that the sequel to the most popular English translated VN ever still doesn't have a completed translation after all this time yet shit like Muv Luv Extra gets patched?

King Arthur never actually existed and even if he did I probably wouldn't care.

Because sub groups sub things they want to sub, Anime/VNs they ENJOY personally. They don't do it as a favour to the general Otaku population. You can't force some one to do something he doesn't like just because it has a large fan base.

It's a little... tasteless, yeah, that they'd incidentally genderswap the most celebrated person of English lore to make him a fucktoy. I could never fap to Saber personally because it's too strange. At the same time, it's a bit of an honor to be made the subject of something bizarre from Japan, just as I believe Billy Herryington probably feels a dubious honor of some kind for his recognition.

But anyway, would Japanese like it if a Westerner wrote a book or made a movie about Date Masamune or Hattori Hanzo, only depicting them as female moe subservients to some stupid kid, who then fucks them? I'd think they'd actually get EXTREMELY angry over that (conservative Japanese that is, some might like it though), granted how zealously they defend their own culture.

King Arthur wasn't even real. A legend. It's like depicting Santa Claus as a girl who gets fucked by a japanese dude. Would that really offend anyone? Or atleast, otaku's?

sure, but within the myth he was probably Welsh. The original name of Excalibur was Caledflwch before it was latinised. Incidentally the Irish name is Caladbolg which is where that comes from.

Believe it was Lovecraft who said that if something is considered too serious to be made fun of or parodied, it's not worthwhile.

The Arthurian mythos is worthwhile.

No. Unlike people from a lot of countries, the British generally don't give a fuck about people making fun of some mythical or historical figure, or their flag, or anything else about their country. The way that some foreigners take their place of birth so seriously leaves me dumbfounded. I wouldn't care if Shirou fucked a genderswap of Winston Churchill.

However, I would like to see the Japanese reaction if the roles were reversed. Seeing some great Japanese hero getting fucked by a gaijin would probably lead them to smash their fists through their CRT monitors.

>>6407318

This is true. I wish people would stop making this mistake; he was some Welsh faggot who tried to stop the English from taking over Britain (well, the central, southern and eastern parts of it) and failed miserably.
