I get mad when I realize Crysis still looks better than current and upcoming FPS games. If only it wasn't for fucking consoles holding PCs back. Saying graphics don't matter in games is like saying art quality doesn't matter in doujins. Having good art and bad gameplay (story) means utterly nothing, but it's not like you can ignore the "graphics."

You keep missing the point. I wasn't saying movies are good, but that they're a necessary step in advancing technology. The following step is video games. You have to admit to liking those at least, right? Hell, Touhou wouldn't exist otherwise. Virtual reality is the ultimate step because it is supposed to represent a perfect world in which you can be anything and achieve anything. Denying you desire that is only lying to yourself as you realize your petty fantasies, vivid as they may be, can never live up to the perfection human-mastered VR could potentially offer. Even if I'm 100 years old when such a thing happens, I'd like to experience it at least once before I head off on my one-way trip to Gensokyo.

Consoles have jaggies though because every developer feels the need to push those things to the edge in order to one up the previous generation and it ends up looking like shit in the process.

I'd rather have a game with toned down graphics that does it well than have to look at a jaggy mess.
