Second poster here, and I disagree. The Anime wasn't bad, but up until the end, like every episode mentionned something or revealed something and I thought "Oh well, I'm sure we'll hear more on that later/I'm sure that'll be explained later."

Then it ended. And I was left with "Wait, what about that thing? And that guy, and that girl, and what happens to that, and who come this went this way, and what was the point of that, and who was that..." etc.
More hole ridden than swiss cheese, it felt incredibly incomplete.
Aside from that, yeah, it was great.

The problem I have with "Shiki vs ___________" battles is that it's just too fan and opinion oriented.

Shiki vs Godzilla? HE SLASHES IT!

Shiki vs Dio? HE KILLS ZA WARDO!

Shiki vs Jesus? HE ENDS JESUS'S EXSITANCE!

Basically the problem is that Shiki remains a sort of walking plot device character that CAN be defeated rather easily. Otherwise we'd have no dead ends in Tsukihime.

What depends more is the actual actions, luck or shit that absolves around him.

Like Shiki vs Godzilla? He can kill it but he'd have a thousand pounds of reptile meat falling on him and his arms aren't long enough to cut through something that big enough that he wouldn't get crushed.

I'm serious. Think about it for a second. We know Ryōgi couldn't destroy the Buddha Arm so there's a 95% chance Shiki couldn't destroy the God Hand. Not to mention that when it's power is unleashed Gene is basically a GOD himself.

The reason why Shirou will always be better than Shiki is sheer killing power. Sure, Shiki might be able to easily kill a few people using his Mystic eyes and small knife that somehow severs limbs and torsos in one slash, but he will never be able to instantaneously kill the amount of people Shirou could. Here's why..
Shirou can project many swords and fire them at the same time. This means that he could project 10 swords and hit many different targets (as shown in his fight with Gilgamesh where he shoots his projected swords against all those noble phantasms.) Shirou also has a reality marble. Anyone who is caught inside it will probably be skewered before they even do anything, I would imagine him being able to kill nonstop for as long as it is up. Shirou doesn't even need to engage in melee combat, but does so anyway because he is a bad ass. There is no way Shiki would beat Shirou in a fair match. Unless Shiki somehow came within striking distance right away. The only reason why people don't consider Shirou to be better than Shiki is because Shirou would never kill (because of his morales) as easily as Shiki. If he truly didn't care, Shirou could easily waste most non-human beings in the Nasuverse.

Not to mention, he is a skillful archer.

Shiki vs Shirou is not canon. Arc's power doesn't make anything clear. Even Shiki killed her easily, sure he had the advantage of surprise but obviously she's not as invincible as you're suggesting. And Mystic Eyes or no eyes, Gilgamesh far surpasses Shiki in terms of offensive power. Every weapon fired from GoB is a real Noble Phantasm, some of them even have properties like "god-killer" and the like. Enuma Elish could kill anything, even if she regenerated (which isn't a guarantee looking at Ea's properties) she'd be weak as hell. Gil doesn't even get tired from using it. Throw in Enkidu and shit and Arc could conceivably lose.

Just throwing this out there but, Shiki can't kill Arcueid unless it's daytime, and even then he needs to surprise or else Arcueid will more then likely win. At night, Arcueid has no lines or dots where her power is it maximum, therefore she is invincible against Shiki UNLESS he does the once in a lifetime thing by killing the nature like he did in Ciel True.

However he only lived afterwards because of plotarmor and it would normally kill him afterwards. Even then, killing the nature around Arcueid will only get Shiki to see her lines and dots, she can still kill him easily.
