With TDCG, all its mods, and the ability to easily make animations in MMD, I think I've finally found a source of erotic material I'll never tire of(softcore or otherwise).

The amount of things you can do/situations you can create with this game is amazing. The ability to animate it just blows everything else out of the water for me.

It feels something like I've activated god mode. I can make anything I want and do anything I want with it, given the time.

Anyhow, does anyone have any interesting hard saves they'd like to share? I have quite a bit of stuff...

there is plenty of similar stuff but i'm not sure i've seen anything specifically of irisu yet. if you search around enough on japanese sites you can probably find something though.

it's really frustrating when you find that someone has made a mod you really want but it's only available on dlsite or some where similar. i really wonder if people actually make any money off of those mods.

Also, this is about the only 3DCG site (uploader) that I've seen that is region protected.

if that's the upload site used by the t3ch server(at least i think that's what it was called), then yeah, that's the only one i've found as well.

but if you go around to japanese blogs there are a fair amount of things that are made for sale.

examples include a k-on pack(clubroom+girl+instruments), some kind of bunny girl china costume, fate from nanoha, etc. this blog in particular has a lot of stuff he puts up for sale, or so i gather:

http://masash7.blog85.fc2.com/

he has a good number of things he puts up for free as well(in particular his kaguya nanbu was nice), though. i'm fairly sure he puts many of the things there up for sale; correct me if i'm wrong and there are available there or somewhere else, please.

I really wish I could use the Lat-type Miku in TDCG... it's such a cute model. Or maybe it just ports well into MMD by comparison to TDCG models, but the mouth seems much better done in general. Maybe it's the fact that the hair gives off a shadow, unlike TDCG hair?

no, 3dcustom.net is still active as a TDCG site. they simply changed the url, and the old url now directs to an MMD section. if you want to get to it now, you can go to the 3dcustom home page and then click on the tdcg uploader from there.

alternatively, go here:

the pose uploader still exists as well.

one thing i've never found out how to do using tmoproportion is to alter the size of the ass without altering the size of the frontal pelvis. for example, if you increase the size of the ass, the skin moves out in front as well so that it looks like she has a gigantic bone which sticks out just above her pelvis. in addition, the slots which are ascribed to the ass(shiri) actually only move small parts of it, so it triangulates very badly.

tl;dr is there a way to alter the size of the girl's rear in tmoproportion without altering the frontal pelvis? they seem linked in every .cs file i can find.

the pic shows what i'm talking about. i've exaggerated the size for purposes of illustrating the link; it still creates an unsightly bulge at smaller sizes.

oh, and i figured i'd might as well provide something i know is original content with this heavy save. i made a few TSO files and overlapped a bunch of bikinis to make a sort of net of string bikinis. don't know if anyone is really interested in it, but i don't think anyone else has done anything like this at the very least.

keep in mind it's a combination of clothing types and not a single custom-made bikini, so trying to change or remove certain types will cause some of the strings to go away. i don't remember off-hand which parts i used but it shouldn't be hard to figure out.

It's a modding tool, meant for scaling, moving, and rotating bones to effectively alter the proportions of the ingame mesh. It can then update the base animation files, and pose files as well by overriding them with new ones created from those proportions.

>> No.6379289

>>6379257
it's called tmoproportion. if you don't have it, i suggest you get it as it is incredibly powerful if you're the kind of guy who focuses on proportions a lot(isn't everyone?). it allows you to change almost any aspect of the girl's body freely(the ass appears to be a limitation...).

another question about tmoproportion--if you have too many proportion files in the proportions folder at once, tmoproportion simply clips them off the screen when listing them and there doesn't seem to be a way to scroll down. is this just an irritating part of the program that you can't do anything about? it'd be nice if it functioned like tso2pmd.

No, not that I know of. But really, its not too difficult to reduce the amount of cs files that you need to use. All you need to do is compile the scaling effects of multiple cs files into one. Technically, if you know how to use TPOeditor well enough, you could get away with using just one slider which you customize in TPOeditor.

to add to my question, i know about pressing tab and then using the directional keys to change proportions, but not being able to see the bars is still inconvenient and you can't use the arrow keys to change by .1. also, i know you can simply edit the tpoconfig text file, but that's inconvenient as well because you have to reload tmoproportion each time to check the effects of the changes.

How can i view what the mod files are ? SO i can delete ones I don't want

>> No.6380060

>>6380025
That's kind of the hard part. Your best bet is to download a program called Tdcgexplorer as well as Tsoview. Tdcgexplorer has an english version, so it shouldn't be too hard to use, but the basic idea is that you put all your mod archive files into a folder inside your TDCG folder(which should be inside My Documents by default), and then you can get a small preview of what's inside the rar using the archive tab in TDCG explorer.

If that preview isn't enough for you, this is where tsoview comes in. Select the mod archive(zip, rar, or lzh) under the archive tab, Right click and select to unpack the archive using TDCGexplorer. It should unpack the mod and open up a folder.

Inside that folder should be two folders, data and script. Inside of "data" should be a "model" folder containing .tso files. Open those using tsoview, and you have your preview.

Sorry I can't give a better explanation.
Some people have advised simpler methods:

have a backup arcs or TDCG folder and use that folder to preview mods before you put them into your main folder. it's simple and makes the mod easy to identify since there are few clothing options in an unmodded folder.

or some people just put it right into the main folder and delete it if they don't like what they see.

>> No.6380080

http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85581
^There are a lot of useful mods(including TDCGexplorer) on the first page there. You can usually find the newest version of TDCGexplorer on the 3dcustom site I linked earlier, though.

I know some of you will be confused at how TDCG's system works, so I'll explain it a little:

TSO files contain model information. These usually contain .x/.bin/.dat files and textures, but are useless by themselves.

TAH files are packed and finished mod files. The game loads these files. They usually contain TSO files, files for the icons they add to TDCG, and script files for icon placement in the TDCG menu.

so
TSO files=models
TAH files=mods

in order to create or edit a mod, you are usually first unpacking the TAH file, then unpacking the TSO file inside it, editing whatever files you wanted to change(usually textures or .x files), and then repacking the whole thing back together. This is usually done with TAHdecrypt and TSOdecrpypt(or tso2tex).

Hope that helps some of you who might be thinking of getting into this and are confused.

Oh, and the "arcs" folder inside wherever you installed TDCG is where you put all the TAH files. The game will only read TAH files from that folder, and any TAH file inside the arcs folder will be loaded when the game starts, so be mindful of what you put inside it. Remember what you put in so you know what to take out if something goes wrong.

Posing certainly cuts it for me in that regard.

But no, if you ask me the sex scenes in TDCG itself are pretty bad. I would judge it for yourself, though; the game is pretty small.

However, using tso2pmd you can convert heavy saves of your character into PMD files and import them into MikuMikuDance, a program which lets you create your own animations. The program wasn't created for that purpose, and there isn't much(or any) sex animations created for that program(I have no idea why), but if you can figure out how to work the program you can create your own sex animations. It may take a bit of work, but when your alternative is prefabricated girls and scenes from other h-games that tire after the first two times, it seems worth it to me.

Anyways, if you're into instant gratification sex scenes, this might not be for you, but I find being able to create any girl I want with any proportions I want and make her move the way I want(MMD) is far more valuable than anything traditional h-games offer.

I understand some people need more explicit, easy methods, but I have way too much free time on my hands(if you can't tell), so...

No. Heavy save files can be loaded even if you don't have the mod. That's why they're so convenient, and pretty revolutionary for this kind of game, I think(other games can only do this for poses alone but TDCG can do it for clothing as well).

I'll describe saves in this game:
All saves in this game are png files created by pressing the "save" button near the bottom of the screen. There are four types of saves, within 2 categories, which I'll explain in the next post.

>> No.6380220
File: 2.26 MB, 128x128, 351EAFF1-9B0A-45C3-A3673E374BD5BDA2.tdcgpose.png [View same] [iqdb] [saucenao] [google]
6380220

(xxx.tdcgsav.png) - Character saves
Normal saves-- Icon is a white background with character picture. Can only load clothing/items you have installed in your arcs folder. If you don't have the mod in your arcs folder, nothing is loaded for that slot.
Heavy saves-- Green background with character picture. Can be loaded on any system with TDCG and its expansions installed, but can be fairly big files. To make one, hold ctrl and click "Save" while in normal mode.

(xxx.tdcgpose.png) - Pose saves
Pose saves--Pink background with character silhouette. Contain pose information for one character. They also happen to contain proportion information. This means that if you want to see a pose with certain proportions, you'll have to run it through a program called pngproportion which you'll learn about later. It only takes a second.
Scene saves--Yellow background with character silhouette. Contains character information for multiple characters as well as their poses and positions. So, it's capable of heavy saving multiple characters with their poses. To make one, hold cntrl and click "Save" while in pose mode.
**** Note: Pose saves are only relevant after you install the expansion that gives omake(or, pose) mode ****

TDCG loads character saves from /my documents/tech arts 3d/TDCG/ and loads pose saves from /my documents/tech arts 3d/TDCG/pose by default. Don't put them in your arcs folder or in your TDCG game folder. If it's a problem for you to have them in your my documents folder, I'm pretty sure there are ways of directing it elsewhere.

As an example, all the green saves you see in this thread are heavy saves.

Attached is a scene save. It contains Koromo from Saki.

>> No.6380240

>>6378720
do you have a hard save for that one?

File: 598 KB, 128x256, tim1793.png [View same] [iqdb] [saucenao] [google]
6380244

So, to reiterate, the green character saves in this thread will load the character you see on the image thumbnail whether you have the mod or not(that's why distributing characters like this is so convenient). They can be accessed or saved even after entering pose mode.

The Koromo scene save in >>6380220 will load Koromo just like the heavy saves load other characters, but also loads her with a pose and any other characters that may have been in the scene along with their poses. Additionally, they can only be accessed and saved from pose mode. However, you can make a heavy save of Koromo after you load her in pose mode using this file by going back into normal mode and then holding cntrl and pressing save while selecting Koromo.

In order to use the files you see in this thread or any following TDCG threads, you must:

1. Install TDCG
2. Install its expansions
3. Place the character saves(xxx.tdcgsav.png) into your "/TDCG" folder(NOT your TDCG game folder), and the pose files into your "/TDCG/pose" folder.
4. Open the game, click the poses, and enjoy.
****Note -- As I stated earlier, the TDCG folder I am speaking of is located by default in "/my documents/tech arts 3d/TDCG/pose". I'm sure you can change that, but I've never bothered.

Make sure you get the latest version of toonshader and put it in your arcs folder.

Given a little more time, I could have come up with a color+style closer to his, but the color I had in mind was one I don't have for potential short straight back hairs I had in mind, so I chose a darker grey since you didn't specify anything but closeness to the other guy's model.

If you're just starting out, you probably won't have any colors that look anywhere near as good as that one, which is why I offered color alternatives because I do(especially for other hairstyles--I never use short hair).

Anyways, sorry, but I'm pulling a coward and making a few precautious changes before posting to avoid any potential trouble. I gave her a bra and turned the "age" meter up to max. if you did and it's not working, try downloading mods1021.zip at

it's near the top of the list.

if your problem isn't toonshader, then i might not have a solution other than going to hongfire and making sure your version is really the highest version. i can tell you that the body type(which appears to be what you're missing) is one of mod0445, 7, or 9 on the futabacustom site(ttp://www.nijibox5.com/futabacustom/mod/). if toonshader doesn't work, you might try downloading and installing, but i'll try to think of something else.

4. Open the game, click the poses, and enjoy.

well, other than the large 40gb torrent, i don't know of any that are specifically for backgrounds.

i especially don't know any touhou specific backgrounds.

you're best off downloading the mod catalog in
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4FL0KSWE , cntrl+fing for "bg", "background", and "stage", then dling the appropriate files from either the 40gb torrent posted earlier or from one of the mediafire archives here:
http://deadfrog.fapis.com/entry.html?id=13927&show_all_files=1

good backgrounds don't really come commonly but there are a good number of them. there are more for MMD.

there are a good number of decent hardsaves you can download for a start in the torrent as well. just select to download all the .png files in the torrent and you'll have a lot of hardsaves to work with quickly. some of the ones posted in this thread are in that torrent as well.

unfortunately, until you learn how to use ayame(it's not hard; mod0513.zip on ttp://www.nijibox5.com/futabacustom/), you won't be able to combine "equipment" from different hardsaves. i'll probably talk more about that later, or maybe in the next thread(whenever that is).

>> No.6380877

also, a tip for some of you:

remember how i said that proportions are saved to your pose files? well, once(if) you get into using tmoproportion(which is where you begin to get a feeling for the freedom the game gives you over the girl), when you convert a pose file's proportions, it becomes fairly difficult(or time consuming) to convert it back. for this reason i really recommend at having a folder in which you keep originals of all your poses.

if you're as whimsical as i was about kind of proportions you want from day to day, it'll probably save you some trouble. if you use MMD for your posing and such this isn't a problem, though, since it doesn't use pose files in the same way as TDCG.

i guess i'll talk about tmoproportion next.

The text file is really helpful, thank you. Eh, for now, I'm just gonna focus and making faces that are actually decent. I'm terrible at that.

every mod you want to use goes into the arcs folder. without exception. hope that answers your question.

the face can be a little tough to work with, i wouldn't say it's intuitive. in fact, the default face's mouth looks pretty much awful unless you do some work on it in pose mode.

i highly advise going to
http://cdn.3dcustom.net/TAPuploader/upload.html
and downloading some poses there. the more poses you have the more likely you are to have a good starting base for whatever you're looking for.

About TMOProportion:
If you don't want to use MMD, this is a pretty godly tool for this game. It allows you to control most aspects of the girl's body, much more than any other game on the current market that I know of.

Go to http://cdn.3dcustom.net/TACuploader/all.html?1288591803
Download XPC02091.zip
Pass: custom

Unzipping this this will give you a directory called TSOView-031, a set of a number of different programs. I won't go into depth, but tsoview, tmoproportion, pngproportion, tahproportion, and tpoeditor are the most important programs.

TSOView--Allows you to easily preview TSO files. Helpful when creating/editing mods, and also when previewing them(although iirc TDCGExplorer by itself is better for this purpose).
TMOProportion--Gives you a menu with sliders akin to the sliders in the actual game that determine the proportions of the girl. Reads #C(.cs) files that are in the Proportion folder which should be inside the same directory as the program itself; they dictate what body parts the sliders change. Each .cs file creates one slider.
PNGProportion--Drag&drop pose files(not scene files) onto this and the pose file will be rewritten with whatever proportions you had specified using the sliders in TMOProportion.
TPOEditor--This allows you to edit the .cs files that TMOProportion uses so you can alter how they cause proportions to change. For example, you can make a .cs file that specifies shrinking 1.2443 times more potent, or however much you want.
TAHProportion--Can be used to change animation files as well as the girl's default proportions(does not affect pose files aside from the default ones).

Playing around with these programs shouldn't hurt, and it's the best way to learn. Just make sure you back up what you screw around with.

this is a prime example of tmoproportion being put to good use.

anyways, here is a step-by-step instruction of how to edit a pose file with the default configuration of TMOProportion:

1. (assuming everything is unzipped) Double click TMOProportion
2. Fiddle with the sliders until you get what you want
3. Click "Save"
4. Find a pose file you want to assign those proportions(make sure it doesn't already have proportions written onto it; they combine for nasty looking effects)
5. Drag and drop that pose file onto PNGProportion
If all goes well, enjoy your new pose with new proportions.

What can go wrong:
You may not have the appropriate software for TMOProportion. If the program crashes when you double click it, make sure you have
--A graphics card that can use Toonshader
--C# Visual
--.net framework 3.5 or higher
--Directx9.0c
--Microsoft Silverlight(probably not the problem)

When I started out, I had a problem in which even though I was using a new computer with Directx11 installed, I had to go back and install Directx9.0c. So, if the program refuses to start and you have the other requirements, then download and install Directx9.0c regardless of circumstances.

>No, I don't know. Maybe a button is being registered as held down on your computer for some reason? Does the entire model spin no matter what body part you have selected?
nope, each part that's selected spins. it does act as if a button was held down (in this case, up arrow), but pressing up doesn't change anything, and in other games/programs it doesn't happen.

pressing and holding other buttons cancels it, like, if i hold down it starts spinning down, left/right to the sides, if i hold ctrl it goes up very fast, tab/space make it stop (but i can't press anything else then) etc. but as soon as i release the button it starts spinning again.

in the regular view and sex anims nothing out of the ordinary happens either.

The amount that you can customize your girls and the fact that you can make your own animations with MMD, primarily.

Also, it resembles 2d far more, but I suppose that's a matter of preference. It's a huge deal to me.

At least back when I played AG3 for awhile, the selection of clothes was nowhere near as good, and modifying body proportions was very limited by comparison. The most you could do beyond the default sliders was use xdiff files, which wasn't exactly easy and was time consuming.

This game allows you near complete freedom once you get a good number of mods, proportion files, and skill.

The downside is that the preprogrammed sex scenes aren't anything special, if that's what you're in for. But AG3 has no poser, and you can't create animations without some knowhow and work.

Of course, if you're very good at 3d modelling/art maybe none of that would matter to you.

Are you implying that it's easy to do animations in 3D Custom Girl even if you know nothing about it? I remember trying out a posing tool, and found it nearly impossible to make any significant change that didn't look retarded. Did I do something wrong?

I can do it naturally, but people who can't generally use one of two methods :

-stare between two images and relax your eyes. Try not to focus on anything and the images should blur and double, so you should have two pairs of images. The trick is to make left image from one pair to overlap the right image from the other pair and then focus on that point.

-put a finger in front of your face with a stereogram in the background and focus on it. Again, you should have two pairs of images in the back. If you keep focus on the finger, you can control how much the two pairs separate from each other by moving the finger closer of further from your face. Again, try to overlap the left image from one fair with the right image from the other. The trick is to quickly look from the finger to background and focus on that overlap.

Mods add clothing, bodies, hairs etc. into the game. You just put a bunch of them in the 'arcs' folder and the extra stuff appears in game.

That being said, there are literally thousands of mods to choose from. See >>6378639 for the game, expansions, uncensor patches and a few thousand mods.

These 'mapings', as you said, are combination of bodies, proportions and clothing that the game creates when you save them. You have to put them in the right folder in my Documents and they appear in game.

No, I'm not. Creating animations in TDCG itself is hard, and the animations don't often particularly come out well without a lot of effort. It involves a lot of file conversion, dragging+dropping, unpacking and repacking, etc.

Creating them in MikuMikuDance, on the other hand, is much more intuitive. You port TDCG models to MikuMikuDance using tso2pmd, and then you can use MMD just like pose mode with animation potential. Your model might not look quite as good in MMD as it does in TDCG, though, but it's pretty close, and you can still port animations created in MMD into TDCG using vmd2tmo if you really want.

For example, I could pretty easily animate >>6387283 to make it so that the two girls move their hips towards each other at a rhythm. It's would even be easy to animate them moving faster as it goes deeper, and slowing down before they move back in again, as well as some other slight details(like shoulder movement) that might put you off if they weren't in place. Kind of tangential, but in MMD you can even place a mirror so that you can watch them from another angle at the same time.

If you've never used MMD before, it might take you a little bit to learn how to do stuff like that and have it not look like crap, though. Plus it can take time if you're not good, so if you have a life it might not really be possible/rewarding for you.

Since the bikini in the file I posted in >>6388619 is something I edited myself(originally from an Eirin bikini save by a Japanese(I assume) modder), I'll run through how to extract it with you.

Assuming you have TDCGExplorer installed and ready(if you do not, post and I will help)...

1. Put the heavy save of >>6388619 into your heavy save folder.
2. Open TDCGExplorer 1.11
3. Go to Database>Edit Configuration
4. Under "TDCG Directory", input the location of your TDCG folder.
5. Press OK

6. Go to the "Savefile" tab
7. Pick out the save file in >>6388619
8. Right click anywhere in the bottom right window
9. Click "Make TAH File"
10. In the new tab that comes up, models, tbns, and psds are organized by letters. The letter corresponds to one garment.
10. Find the TSO file that contains the model you want to extract; in my case, it's lettered "O."(so, N999SAVE_O00.tso)
11. Isolate that TSO file AS WELL AS the tbn and pso file with the corresponding letter by selecting and deleting all the other files.
12. Select all of those files(there should be 3 in this case), right click, and hit "Change category selected files."
13. A prompt with a dropdown menu will appear. Change the category to whatever you want; in this case, it's a bikini, which normally goes in the "Whole body undergarment" category. Press "OK"
14. If you want to increase the number of slots that the item can be equipped in, right click the TSO file(s) you're making a mod of, select "Create TBN file from selected items", and check whichever item slots you want it to use. Press OK.
15. Once again, select all the files, and this time click "Compose TAH file from selected files"
16. If you're using the same settings I am, the folder you set TDCGExplorer to write to(I did not cover this in this explanation) should pop up, containing the new TAH file.
17. Put the TAH file in your Arcs folder, and you should be good to go.

If you want to edit the icon, you can instead click "Write selected files." Inside the data folder, there should be an "Icon" folder, which will contain the icon. Open it up, edit it to something simple(DO NOT change the resolution), save, and then pack the file using TAHDecrypt.

Enjoy your TAH.

Please let me know if this is unclear. I don't want to have wrote it for nothing, and if I can make it clearer I'll delete, edit, and repost this.

Definitely willing to do a chain thread, though, although I might not be as active as I am in this one.

I don't think the Japanese modders would mind so much as long as we don't post paid-for content and we make an OP disclaiming potential status as creators of the mods we post unless otherwise stated.

I'd like to not be IP banned from their uploaders if they start complaining that foreigners are stealing their mods, so it's best to be polite about posting them.

That's the usual backlash-type attitude I see coming from people on 4chan when it comes to being genial towards the Japanese, but in this case there would be repercussions for those interested in TDCG.

85% or more of the mods in TDCG come from Japanese modders. They are very talented, and also active. The Japanese have at least four different uploader sites and several different blogs; the West has no uploader site and I don't know of any Western blogs at all. The few there are use Hongfire. The Japanese have been known in the past to cut foreigners off from downloading things via a number of different methods(passwording files, IP blocking forums, etc.) for bad manners involving mod sharing.

tl;dr you piss off the Japanese and it's not exactly unrealistic that you cut off a large portion of your mod supply.

Does this mean we should bend over and let them rape us? No. But it's not a bad idea to be polite to them and at least give them credit for the mods they've created(except for those who want you to pay for it) if you want to continue seeing stuff from them(I do). At the very least, as a disclaimer in the OP.

As I explained in >>6389330, that would be a fast ticket to them IP banning us and then us having no source of mods whatsoever unless a lot of genius artists pop out of nowhere around here for TDCG.

What? There are hardsaves all over this thread. I'm not advising not sharing stuff because of the Japanese.

I(and the other guy who initially brought this up) am just saying that if we do a chain thread thing here on /jp/, it'd be a good idea to have a disclaimer or something in the OP saying that most of the mods come from Japan. That's all. 4chan threads are too short lived to really make any difference, and I highly doubt the Japanese look here much anyways.

And, of course, not to claim mods as your own when they aren't(even if you did lightly edit them or something), although I'm sure no one on 4chan gives a shit about that.

Also, one thing I want to note to people, especially if we start having regular threads about this:

I know some of you aren't happy complying with Japanese requests, but don't link directly to their uploaders. One of the rules every uploader site has(not just for foreigners) is to not link to them directly. The typical method of doing so is writing "ttp://url" as I have been doing in this thread, so if you ever link to an uploader in the future please try to remember.

I don't think that applies to blogs. I believe they just want to reduce bot traffic or something.

Regrettably, I am no modeler. I don't know how to open .x files in metasequoia and I feel like a retard for it. I still have to get some kind of modelling program, but it seems like I'm pretty much going to have to pirate 3dsmax or something. I'm a little worried about viruses, though.

As to how to do it...
I suspect that TDCGExplorer is capable of unpacking TSO files and producing .x files. I know that tsodecrypt is, as that is what I use, but it doesn't seem to work for some TSO files.

I'm almost positive that you need some kind of plugin to import .x files into 3dsmax.

I know that another option is using tso2toy, but I'm not sure of the specifics on how that program works, or what modelling program it's used for.

It's a little shameful to say so, but the height of my modding experience is probably basic extraction, conversion, copying, etc. and repacking of files and texture manipulation.

Aha. .x files I can import into blender. I didnt see an option to unpack .tsos in 3dcg explorer though. I'll have to find tsodecrypt in that case. Thanks.

Okay, well while I am getting the scene ready, I have several different kinds of blond.
to make it simple, would you prefer:

Shiny
Pastelle
Dull
Bright
Dark
Hay? Yellow? Yellow-blue?

just choose one and i'll make a decision based on it, but i really have a lot of colors...

If you can point me to an explanation of how to do what you're talking about, or give me the names of specific files/programs you're thinking you can use, that would be appreciated. Just links or names would be fine so long as it's enough to find the info with google or something.

Also, what you're planning on using free or am I going to have to set sail?

>> No.6390588

Well, I guess I'll install it again. Can anyone give me a torrent updated with all the essentials? I'm afraid of missing out on some new patch or something by going for some hongfire thread from 2008. Miss the times we had a copypasta in each of these threads giving all the relevant information.

Well assuming you've got the .x file you want to work on out of the .tso, it's pretty simple.
Download Blender, free, from blender.org. Then go here.
http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/Blender
It talks mostly about .nif files, but importing them is the same as importing .x files. All the links you need are on that page too. And you will need to download those by the way. You need the blender .nif scripts to import other filetypes, including .x files, and you need python to run the scripts.

It's late so sorry if that didn't make much sense, but I think you'll still get the gist.

As for actually editing the 3d models... you're on your own. I have about as much experience as you do, but google is your friend. All I plan to do is import some of these outfits into Oblivion or Fallout.

Drill engines ready at your disposal.

I already did the gold one while you were responding. If you still want the default blonde after seeing this one, I can do that.

I still have to compile the gold color for some of those hairstyles, so a few of them are different.

Also, I left out the default drill styles. This was as many as I could pack into one file small enough for 4chan.

Some frontal hair, for the occasion. Also blonde, for the occasion.

If you use TAHHair, you can make all of the hair in these files into full hair options. Beware, though, if you do that and you later try to download the actual mod it comes from, you'll probably get a mod conflict(which will just make a couple things messy, not ruin your game--you can just not install it as well).

some helpful kanji for searching through the japanese uploaders(linked at various points earlier in this thread), don't know if any of you need it. most of the japanese uploaders describe or categorize their mods using these characters/words:

髪 / 前髪 / 後髪 =Hair, Front Hair, Back hair, respectively
アホ毛 =Ahoge
身体 / 体 BODY=all denote the body
着 / 服=Kanji for wearing or clothing, often combined with other kanji to form words for clothing.
下服 / 上服 / 全服=lower body clothes, upper body clothes, clothes that cover the body
下着=undergarments
水着 / ビキニ=swimsuits
背景 / ステージ / 景色/ BG=background words.
脱=kanji for stripping(or escaping). will usually get you clothes that are either in half-off state or have said state.
アイテム=items
目=eyes
顔=face
乳 / 巨乳 / 貧乳=breasts/milk, big breasts, small breasts
尻=ass

at the very least if you want to download something, using these is better than blindly dling, but it's safest to use a mod catalog(such as
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4FL0KSWE, although it's fairly old--there may be a newer one on hongfire) if you can't read japanese.

I just got done installing a shitload of hair mods. For those of you who just want more hair and are willing to download hit-or-miss, I am going to list them in no order with no description(that would take quite awhile for me to compile), but at least 90% of them are hair or hair-related.

in order to see the proportions you've set outside of pose mode, you have to compile modified versions of base.tah and base_xp.tah using TAHProportion. if you need more help than that, i can explain further.

in pose mode, it's just a matter of following what's said here: >>6380973
just drag&drop pose files(not scene files) onto pngproportion and they'll be rewritten. make sure to have backups, because it's very difficult to get the original proportions back, and running a modified pose through pngproportion causes the proportions to stack(as opposed to having the new proportions overwrite the old values).

in order to see the proportions you've set outside of pose mode, you have to compile modified versions of base.tah and base_xp.tah using TAHProportion.

after compilation, TAHProportion will output files labed tmo-xxx.tah(xxx being the name of the original TAH file, in this case base and base_xp). copy those files into your arcs folder, and you're done.
note: don't do anything to the original base.tah and base_xp.tah files.

once you get gravure mode, you can use this same method to change the proportions of your character in the gravure mode animations.

in pose mode, it's just a matter of following what's said here: >>6380973
just drag&drop pose files(not scene files) onto pngproportion and they'll be rewritten. make sure to have backups, because it's very difficult to get the original proportions back, and running a modified pose through pngproportion causes the proportions to stack(as opposed to having the new proportions overwrite the old values).
