There's a difference between actually learning and just showing up to a class you don't give a shit about (which is most likely how you "learned" French).

are you kidding, OP? french is hard as fuck! extra letters you don't pronounce in every word, verb conjugation is just crazy and articles, articles everywhere!

other than memorizing kanji, japanese is comparatively pretty simple.

Bullshit. Other than the writing it is nothing special.

Try to learn the language without giving a crap about reading.
Then you read all kinds of VNs and eroge with AGTH and something like the aggregator or chiitrans or something, in order to help you read all that text and in order to help you look up kanji.
Then it is up to you to pay attention to what is what, and then you should eventually no longer need AGTH,

I gave french a go but soon dropped it, it just lacks that certain je ne sais quo. Also you don't need to know any other language than English to be able to function in Europe, sure they might pretend they don't understand them, but say something about their mother they'll suddenly have a complete grasp of the language.

You know, the only reason why Japanese seems so "easy" for some people is because of the exposure. Other languages would be easy as hell as well if they had VNs and all sorts of anime to immerse oneself.

>>6342872
Kanji is easy, vocabulary/jukugo are definitely not. It's even more of a bitch than vocabulary in other languages.

You know that thing has the written language considered, right?
Otherwise Japanese isn't that hard to learn for northen europe and other europeans.

Native English speakers can of course learn it as well, but if you don't put effort into it you will most likely sound weird.

what are talking about? pronounciation? yes, of course written language is considered because it's part of the goddamn language. I bet germanic languages are far more easier to learn than say, Japanese
