I've recently been reading Alice in Wonderland, it's kind of weird to see how Japan's taken it to heart in such a way. I wouldn't really expect it to be the kind of text that resonates within such a society, given the amount of wordplay and the like involved that would probably only work in the English language.

I suppose the childishness and the adult tones that permeate the book contribute to this appeal? Contrariwise maybe it's how the adult tones make the childishness even more visible. It's just awfully interesting.

Actually, it's probably just magical world and a loli.
