Actually there are several things that would change.

a. He can kill almost anyone with his glasses on.
b. He loses the disadvantage of being an anemic kid.
c. He'll have beyond super natural stats even if fighting a non-super natural being.
d. He'll have a very manly physique.
e. Best of all, he can kill without his paring knife.

That's not the point, the point is that whenever he uses his glass, his brain takes a hit. If he didn't need to use his MEoDP and only used it to finish off demons, it'd be a big improvement for him.

Using the mystic eyes drains much of his stamina and mind energy so those pair of glasses help him in many ways other than fighting. With Hokuto Shinken, he could minimize the use of the mystic eyes, unless absolutely necessary.
