Does she know it's a loli animal rape simulator?

>> No.6312960

That isn't a book, but you should tell her it's basically a book with visual/musical elements.

It's the 21st century, who the hell reads books?

>> No.6312966

VNs are actually closer to picture books than to games.

>> No.6312968

You should read The Old Curiosity Shop by Charles Dickens. It got blasted by critics for being too sentimental, which is really just another way of saying that it was too moe. Plus it's got a pretty 13-year old girl who is so kind and another, younger little girl who is a maid and a dragon and a dwarf. It's a wonderful book.

I am intrigued. I'll look for it while I'm at Borders later today.

Interesting, I'll look into it. It could be a nice change, since I barely read anything other than Pratchett nowadays.

>> No.6313001

Of course VNs are books. Books with illustrations, audio, and sometimes a branching structure. Bookshops sell paper and CD books with all of these elements.

I like reading paper books and listening to pure audio books too.

I doubt Wanko to Kurosou is going to be on any school's recommended reading list, though.

"I think this is a commentary on the Old World raping the New World. The little blonde girl is America, eager to please, while the Old World has grown too large, as can be seen by the dogboy's huge penis, and it getting ready to plunge into the fresh young America's child vagina."

I loved Snow Crash, and The Diamond Age possibly even more.

I recommend Charles Stoss's Halting State as a more modern compliment to Snow Crash. Augmented reality MMOs and cyber crime, in a non-collapsed society. Technology-wise, it'll probably be out of date by next year. But never mind, the sequel Rule 34 is out then.

Currently chewing through a stack of modern sci fi novels (last touched Stephen Baxter's Exultant).

(not the person you replied to btw)

What's your problem? I read Neuromancer, plot didn't really grab me, but the setting was cool. I loved Snow Crash.

Is the cyberpunk genre so grossly offensive to you?

The closest other books I've gotten into have been "post-cyberpunk".... according to wikipedia anyway.

This is 4chan. You could say anything and have some 13-year-old emogothatheist kid criticize you, hoping they'll seem edgy or cool.
