As for soku, however, I'm sure I will someday; I do keep my promises except for the ones made with Tangent, apparently, after all. It's just, I'm half-looking for the perfect opportunity to jump in a thread hosting with fishdeck and find an actual fishdeck player, but at the same time I want to update to 1.10 and magically become one of those tourneyfags I always dreamed of being.

To be completely honest, soku really just isn't the same anymore. It's this brick wall I - and a bunch of others - hit in IaMP and then SWR, which was only fixed by the next installment coming out. Whether or not another toohoo fightan will be made isn't even a question that needs to be asked, so it's just a matter of waiting for it to come out then jumping on the bandwagon.
But... might jump in sometime later this thread. Just for you, anon.

Some normal moves get frame advantage.

What's a good way to practice movement?

I find that a lot of my problems come from too much unnecessary movement, and even though I'm trying to control it, I still find myself falling back on kneejerk inputs.

I know it's costing me games, but I still have trouble controlling my reactions. I know if I can get this down, it'll go a long way towards helping me approach better, and escape pressure more efficiently.

I play Yuyuko, Yukari and Iku for the most part, but have a reasonable grasp on most characters bar Alice and Remilia, if it helps.

I mean, there are a lot of people who are content with being fags, and those who actually love sucking dick, but there are a lot of things you do wrong as a faggot.

In the offcase you DON'T know that you play like a fag, here are a couple tricks from the bag of faggotry I've collected from playing various fags.

Number 1 rule of soku, block on wake up, I'm not the kind of player who punishes that a lot, but it's really easy to catch you in things when you're mashing dat A on wakeup.

2, stop ceiling huging, another thing I don't even feel like punishing because it's so gay. Others around here will more than likely kick your shit in if you do that.

3, add in some traps in your brigade of gay, you do too bullets at one time, and you're extremely predictable. Most of the times I got hit was out of me yawning at your gay, or doing my math homework while you turtled in the corner. As you can see in the last matches we had, your play style is easily countered by equally or more extravagant gay playing.

Ugh, sorry for playing like such shit, it was actually worse than normal (as hard as it may be to believe.) The last two rounds I played online, I did the best with Remilia, but I guess I haven't learned to properly utilize her unorthodox grazing against bullet hell. (God, that Yuyuko game was a disaster.)

Thanks for the Remilia comment... I think. I don't play her much at all, I'm pretty sure whatever I was doing was just being pulled out of my ass at the time. I do love using ice traps and then falling all over them though.

Reisen, obviously. He's good. It's tough to properly place skill level into perspective in this game, so take that however you want. Too much bullet based pressure though, it worked wonders on me at time but I did notice in our last game on Youmu that I was able to land aerial combos pretty often once I stopped being afraid to engage. All that said, he's just good. Not high tier (admittedly, the line between middle and high tier is very blurry these days, with so much of the greats rarely playing anymore), but definitely not low. Solid player, but it's not like nameless wouldn't plow through all of us solid players anyways.

What I'm seeing as my biggest flaw since coming back is that I rely entirely on predicting the opponent's blockstrings - which is the nature of soku, sure - and guess wrong all the time. I'll always think "Okay, he's baiting me into thinking he's going to attack mid and then crush me when I block low so I'll block mid" and then I'll get crushed, or the other way around. My fuzzy memories of early soku are trying to tell me that shouldn't happen, so there's #1 that I'm going to work on.

Next, ixnay on the ontrolcay odrays. Odsray? I don't know my piglatin, it's one of those. Fans can go too, because system cards don't help a lot. Back in the day I ran like no system cards, now it makes sense why. I want to run bombs but probably wouldn't help me much, all I need is hangeki.

Lessee, is there anything else? Do I have space? Don't think so, but taking a break for a while. Might even practice modo in that time, we'll see.

GGs, fgsdgsetc. I'll admit that I was kinda bored while playing, but hot damn I couldn't have asked for a better finish when I randomly got the Exchange card as Komachi (1/20 chance in my deck), and it actually hit, as you somehow managed to whiff. I've never been able to hit with it as of yet, even in the most ideal setups. And better yet: the actual exchange buffed me from 1 hp to ~100 hp. Damnit I was laughing so hard. GGs.
