So I decided to use my NEET life to learn Japanese. What's the best/fastest way to do that, learning materials etc.? Leaving the house is not an option, btw.

But how can a NEET learn Japanese, if he is not into education?

That doesn't answer my question. I asked which is the best way not "show me a random way to learn japanese". But I guess the days where /jp/ wasn't a bunch of rude manchildren are long over.

Ahahahaha. Would you like a cup of coffee with cream too? Learn to figure out things by yourself; you're the manchildren here.

Clearly there is none. And all this thread will turn into is another debate of people who think learning all Kanji up front without meaning is a good idea vs people who think it's not.

Summary:
Learn the kanas. Start learning kanji and read/watch/listen to as much Japanese as you feel like.

Actually, I did it that way, works pretty well and now I play lots of jp games now.

Rosetta Stone is okay, but holy shit I do NOT understand how it expects you to learn things like particles and sentence structure.

Also, how come

That's version 3. I've used it for a bit but the only thing it's useful for is learning a handful of words.

>> No.6300269

Start with kana. It's the easiest part and you shouldn't even need advice for it. From there, try different things to find what clicks. The most useful resources to me were Tae Kim's guide, kanjidicks, and jisho.org. The important part is to do something every day, even if it's just review.
As soon as you can handle native materials even a little, try making that your focus. Keep it fun.
Be sure to ignore anyone complaining about how hard they think it is unless they know enough to express it in both languages. There's a disproportionate amount of uncommitted people that have tried to learn Japanese for the wrong reasons and failed when they realized it took effort.
Good luck.

Kanjidicks is always the answer.

You'll give up in a few weeks anyway, though.
