Parent's basement, but not so bad. Transferring to a different college come the start of next semester, so I'm moving out, but for the time being, I have a full bathroom down here, bedroom, and living room. Pretty good-sized, though I really only use my bedroom for fig display and sleep. Living room down here has a nice-sized couch, my 32" TV, comp, gaming storage closet, and a large sliding glass door opening to the back yard. No pics, as no digital camera/webcam on hand.

The lowest I have seen was for 35 a day. However if I said I would stay for a long period of time they would give me a discount. It is still way more than it should be though. Somewhere around 1000 a month for a single room + bathroom.

Not that anon, but if I went off on my own and paid $500/mo I'd end up sharing probably a 4-bedroom or a small 2-bedroom house with extra rooms converted to bedrooms. The cheapest I could possibly get on my own is about $1300. 1 roommate would probably be 750-800/mo, and 2 roommates would probably be 650-700. I live in San Jose, CA.

Yes, the PC on the left is meant only to browse the internet/word process/etc. The computer on the right with the dark black face is my gaming machine, with an overclocked Q6600, 8800GTX (going to get a 9800 when I can spare the cash), 2GB RAM, etc. If you're wondering about the Dell, that's my really old machine that I use as a fileserver/secondary gaming machine for when I want to dual log (you can just barely see the mini-KVM switch beneath the monitors if you look really hard - it's behind the meds).
