I'm trying to weed all the crap out, while maintaining "all-or-nothing" policy with artists (IOSYS is the only exception this far due humongous amount of sub-standard material but high.. ehh... cultural impact).

Crazy coincidence. I just started downloading the latest version of the Touhou Lossy Music Collection, adding some 30gb to it. I have no clue how I can ever hope to find what I like among all of it though. Finding a group or album I like in that collection without already knowing what I'm looking for is like trying to find a specific grain of sand on the beach.

In order to do this right you'd have to have people weeding out the good and bad per genre. People who like the metal stuff weed out the good and bad metal, people who like electronic weed out the good and bad electronic, etc. Frankly I wouldn't include everything a circle has done unless it was all good. For instance, alstromeria's C78 album was terrible but they have done a lot of good stuff as well. IOSYS' first album was very good as well but... that's been covered. While you are at it you might add genre tags to the circles.

Don't do this alone and do it right, you've got a good idea to work with.

I remember actually following a Touhou Music Recommendation chart one time. 95% of It was utter shit. Full of Techno and repetitive UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ crap. I have little faith that yours is any different unless you can vouch otherwise.

Not sure if this was recommended before, but I do enjoy [WAVE]. got a bunch of their music from the touhou and type-moon torrents. I enjoy the hell out of this circle.

A little sad I didnt see Cool and Create, but I can definatly see how they arn't for everybody.

Golden City Factory is a circle. I think who you're thinking of is Bugbeard, who did Nekomonogatari. I don't think there's been much other jazz put out by Golden City Factory, or at least not that I know of.
