No, that part is actually really easy for me. I'm talking about the waves of orbs with the clusters of variously-sized red danmaku, or nearly everything she does that involves slowing down time. I have the rest of the game pinned down pretty well after practice, but I always spend like four lives on her and it throws off the rest of the playthrough.

Eirin is easier than Marisa/Reimu for the most part.

Only one pattern: break your border shortly after the last red wave goes off then collect your items. If you captured 15 spells on Lunatic up to that point then enjoy your new border. Hard needs...24, I think. Never checked up with Easy/Normal because there isn't the pain of trying to squeeze through the bubbles when gunning for the POC.
