Can we have a discussion about this game?

I recently picked it up, and I love the artwork and general feel. It feels alot like a western comic with a manga style. I enabled text speed on my flashcard, so I don't need to sit through the slow text.

But the actual point and click puzzles seems to be a bit weird. I like to play this game in reasonably short sessions, so sometimes I do not fully remember what I had to do. And I just can't seem to find a log with objectives anywhere. Do I have to write it down in my notebook? It seems rather farfetched.
