Yes it's Kaigen. And her game isn't about homos. It's about a guy killing the bride to be of the other dude who'd wants to take revenge of it. The homo end is a joke end that he killed her because he liked him and was jealous. Stop labelling it like it's some chiral game.

It's the ending that make the most sense, even if the whole Kaigen hijack in the last 2 minutes felt very weird.
Their "revenge" was never really about the fiancée.
And knowing Narahara and what he did in Muramasa a simple story of revenge goes against his type of storytelling, a story of twisted love and how it can fuck up everything fit far more with his style.

And Kaigen Seito IS a sequel.

I'm not going to stop saying it is because it IS a joke ending. Kaigen's character herself and how it absolutely abruptly pulls out that "we were undeads all along trying to revive our emperor and we wanted Igarasu's body for that" is what makes it a complete baloney. Not the homolust.
And of course Kaigen Seitou continues that since how'd one continue a story where every character died?

Narahara is the dude who do this sort of things during the climatic final battle of Muramasa, who show a cartoonish crazy dream just after Kageaki see his father dies and who made one of the main conspirator a guy who is obsessed with panties.

Kaigen and her zombie army of doom seem pretty normal considering this guy.

And once again the whole homolust in that ending fits the whole twisted love theme that is also prevalent in Muramasa.

I'm not saying the whole Kaigen hijack made sense nor that it was what the game was about, only that the ending wasn't a "joke ending" though Narahara definitely wanted it to be funny, and that this ending being the "canon one" make perfect sense to me considering the writer.

Heck I bet Hanachirasu and Kaigen Seito were written as one story to start with and he had to divide them in 2 for some reason, only 3 months between the 2 releases after all.

Trying to "save" in that shit was horrible. The disordered chapters made it even worse and the case of shared events just caused me a migraine. At least in HoS I could find certain events easily because the chapters and routes were in some kind of clear order.
Thinking back now is nostalgic, but I truly hated it. The plot was good at least.

I did POI with my PS2 back in the days and it worked quite well.

I found it good enough. There was a serious fuckup around ep 11, but they corrected it in the next episode. Also, that ending, though I think it shouldn't be taken seriously.
The only thing that seriously bothered me was Ein's face.
