As of right now, it's possible to upload both MP3 and OGG files, but keep in mind OGG files do not properly display their tags on the site. This means that it'd be best to remove any Japanese from an OGG file before uploading it, if possible.

As always, feedback is always appreciated. Post any error messages you get, post opinions, suggestions, whatever.

Main server holds 7 users. There are a number of relay servers up that automatically redirect you when the main server is full, so don't worry. If you are not automatically redirected, you can manually connect to them. There's a page on the main site to check what relays are currently up.

all speakers are breakable it just depends on the frequency, that said most speakers with a decent capable range won't be able to be broken with the range the onboard soundcard is capable with. It's mostly the cheap 2.0 single driver generic computer shit speakers that are the ones most prone to blowouts and other low frequency damage

My guess is something is blocking the XMLHttpRequest. Maybe NoScript or some "safety level" that I think IE uses. It also doesn't work if you try to get something from a different domain or port, but it doesn't look like that's happening here.

As I only heard the first few minutes since the song is prone to be skipped, I'll have to admit I'm not really in a position to judge the song.

From my experience, though, people tend to skip songs that last for more than 15 minutes anyway, so I don't think it will ever be played fully.

Not really a good choice of troll song. Long songs are ineffective with a skip method in place. 30 seconds of harsh noise would be more suited. Hell, even something off Vein would be a bigger troll. You'd almost think that someone just wanted to listen to the song.

Actually, it is quite hard:
You can't block by name/metadata, they will upload it with different info.
You can't block by IP, they will use a proxy.
You can't block by length, arbitrariness aside it would cause problem with other songs and they can change the length.
You can't block by request time, arbitrariness aside it would cause problem with other songs and they can vary that as well.

There are ways to tag songs by sound, like Shazam does. I don't know if there are pluggable libraries for this kind of technique available. Do the searching for me, so I don't have to.

One would think there would be problems with something like that tho. (Now granted I don't know how the stuff works) it seems like there be problems, if the song is a little different (ie. entire song 0.2 octaves higher/lower with random variation) so the analysis program does not recognise it as being the specific offending song as the 'graph' does not match the one on record. And it (probably) would not be able to (reliably) identify them on a lower level as it would get lots of other songs of similar genres as well.

I've had an idea for a while to deal with troll songs, but I didn't implement it yet because troll songs weren't such a problem back then. I'll see if I can get this system implemented in the near future, seeing as people are really getting annoyed now by these "troll songs".

Nothing big. It's just that there's currently no countermeasures against these troll songs. With that system, at least we got something. The idea is that the troll in question has to fight a semi-automatic system which will hopefully cause the troll not being arsed anymore with uploading his shit.

People complained about the loading time of all the icons, so I wanted to fix this by putting them in categories (which they already were, just not visually) so people can get the icons they want and don't have to wait for icons they don't care about. This is done using javascript and the dropdown box

The cookies are used to communicate with the form. The icon list is in a different section of the form so I thought of using a cookie to send the icon data with the form as I don't know if I can access the icon data outside the form. I'm not that familiar with javascript.

So I gotta think of a way to have a dynamic page without javascript and cookies. When I say dynamic, I probably have to use javascript anyway, but I might be able to avoid using cookies...Unless you want the old big list of icons again.

The main problem is that the icons fall outside of the dedication form. If I would use a frame for the icons, the icon page would fall outside of the dedication form, so I can't send the icons with the dedication button (which is the current case but instead of a frame the icon data is set in a div and I use cookies to send data to the form outside the div). I could create a seperate form for the icons, but then we'd have 2 buttons. I'm trying to avoid that as I want the user to submit 1 form for both.

If I would put all the icons in one element, I'd have to reload the whole page everytime the user switches categories. This will screw up anything that is written in the dedication field and will cause the window to reload which is another 1-2 seconds of wait time I should be able to avoid.

Also, you should be able to view the javascript code. It's right there in the source of req.php because I couldn't put it in a seperate .js file. I don't want to use frames unless I absolutely need to (which I shouldn't). They suck.

There isn't anything wrong with that, really... and it's more or less the "normal" way of doing it with just PHP.

Think about it - you have to wait for the new icons to load, anyway. And you'll have actual indication that it's loading, too (the way it is now, it's kind of hard to tell what's going on - especially if the server is a bit slow).

As for the form data, just pass it on to req.php, and have it pre-fill the form when it loads. Perhaps you'll be able integrate iconsget.php back in, as well.

That depends on what you're planning to do. A while back, I got a lot of requests of live DJing for the stream. Me and stalker would rather not fulfill this job and Moe only did some live mixing. The live shows we did weren't a success either. Add us on skype (Jaypee radio) and we can see if we can figure something out.
