Hey /jp/. Woke up this morning to find my Remilia Gungnir figure had arrived. There weren't any instructions included in the box, and I had a hell of a time figuring out how everything was placed in her hands. I was wondering if anyone else had this figure and set it up yet.

There's a little notch on Gungnir where the spearhead connects to what she's standing on. If I try to move it down and secure it in the notch, the spear tips over. I have to sort of balance it to keep it from tipping, so the spear is loose. Has anyone figured out how she's supposed to hold this thing?

how much does it cost?

On my Alter Nanoha Raising Heart comes apart and you can slide it into her hand.

I am so desperately trying to decide between that figure or the GT5 signature edition. Damn its so hard to choose.

Yeah the spear does the same, but getting it into her hand isn't the issue. The spearhead is just way too big for it to be balanced in her hand, so there's the notch on the spear to connect it to the black swirls she's standing on. But I can't figure out how to get it on cleanly without it tipping over.

someone posted that in the fig thread (saying it was too big to fit in their display case) so obviously someone here has it and set up, question is if they're actually around at this time

Best Touhou Griffon fig. Mine doesn't connect to the base all the way but I don't mind.

How's the face?

I have a griffon fig.

You just pop the pegs into the holes.

I was hoping to ask this question too, and yeah, it doesn't seem like all of the pegs fit all the way into the figure. One of them do so it's not like the figure is going anywhere, but it's still kind of weird.

I just can't figure out the spear, though. It's sorta balanced on it right now, but I know if I try to pick it up it's going to tip over. If I try to move it to get it to fit more securely in the notch, it tips over. There's not much leeway in where the spear actually fits in her hand, so it's not like there's too many places where this notch can actually fit.

But the fire in her other hand is sort of a balancing act too, so I'm guessing that's how it's supposed to be. I think it looks really amazing, though, just wanna make sure I'm displaying it properly. Saber Triumphant Excalibur came with a sheet of instructions for that little peg in the stand, and unscrewing the little cap in her swords, wish Griffon had done the same thing.

It still looks pretty goofy to me. I guess Griffon should stick to sameface after all.

This is just for figures by Griffon. They're kind of ass.

None of that stuff happening with Alter and such though.

Hey man. I said it balances. So if I just never move, it won't be a waste.

I don't know, not all of Alter's figures are sturdy on their bases. I'm always afraid to walk by Gwendolyn because she wobbles a bit.

they're mass produced, what did you expect?

Pieces that properly fit together. I have Griffon's Youmu and Flandre, and everything that they hold in their hands has a peg on the piece and a notch in the hand. The notch in Gungnir doesn't seem to fit at all into what it's supposed to connect to, and the flames in her hand is sort of shaped like her hand, but doesn't fit in very securely. It's a shame because the figure looks great.

I bet you thought it was made in Japan too.
