Do you still visit /a/ when /jp/ is painfully slow? All I see over there are dubs, trolls, and tripfags when I go there. Almost forgot the "Touhou is /a/ again" posts too.

>> No.6184163

Protip: don't go to the front page, use the catalog http://4chan.awe.jp/list/a/

I only go to /a/ for a few specific threads

/jp/ is never too slow.
When it slower that just mean that I can keep up with more threads between posts.
And frankly, /a/ makes me sick.

Now /jp/ might not be the best thing ever at all times, but there really are things with /a/ I can't stand.

No. I stopped visiting /a/ more than year ago, when all of anime became nothing more than moeblob.

c:catize other. Here you go, captcha.

/jp/ isn't slow, but i hate fast boards like shitpost-/a/ - it's just too stressfull. So i better take it easy on /jp/!

/jp/ is the only board i visit

when it is slow and uninteresting, i go back to playing video games.

i hardly even watch anime anymore... too focused on games for now. the newest show i've watched from start to finish was code geass r2.

I usually do something similar to this too. Problem is that most of the threads I'm following only gain 1-3 posts and there isn't many new threads.

>>6184168
Funny thing is that /a/ was starting to get better after summer ended. Then it turned into complete garbage around the time /jp/ was getting cleaned up by the mod.

Just checked /a/, because this thread made me curious and it's been a couple months that I haven't seen /a/'s first page. Then I saw this.

>> No.6184226

I try going there maybe once a day or so. Nothing interesting to see really, and I end up often spoiler'ing something in one of the like 2 or 3 shows from the season that I plan on getting around watching one of these days. What's worse is that the quality gets worse month by month, it's bad all year round now instead of just during summer. I mean last winter it wasn't really that bad, in fact it was okay because you could often have a Hidamari Sketch thread go off without a hitch or shonenfags complaining about moeshit.

I used to like /a/ better than /jp/ for a little while after the split, mostly because /a/ was somewhat tolerable at certain times of the day, and /jp/ was just fucking BAD 90% of the time, and there were usually maybe two or three interesting threads on the whole damn board that I refreshed once in a while over the course of days. My ratio between the two was /a/: 80% and /jp/ 20% around fall 2008. Now it's /a/ <1% and /jp/ >99%. Due to meido over the past couple of months /jp/ is surprisingly decent at times, if not literally the best board on 4chan overall, and not best just because of Touhou/VNs.

But now /a/ is getting a little /v/-like lately. It kind of bothers me. It's not quite /b/ 3.0, but let's hope it doesn't get that far. I have a sneaking suspicion that because people can still get doubles on /a/, the worst of /v/ is encouraged to hang around there and have been slowly hybridizing the two boards (which were always linked in users as it is).

>/a/ was starting to get better after summer ended
Actually it did. I was really surprised, but few days later it turned out to be a false alarm. It's really regretful, because anime/manga are my primary ways to spend time, yet I can rarely discuss it on /a/ because of all the shit that's scattered around.

/a/ is literally unreadable these days so no.

>> No.6184253

it's fun to check /b/ when /jp/ is slow and then die a little inside

>> No.6184261

It's almost unbearable these days. I used to be one of the people who held out and still went there because I could still see some decent threads and have a laugh. But even to me it is obvious it has worsened drastically. So if you've left it long ago because it sucked, let me assure you, it only got worse.

I went on /b/ earlier. Half of the first page was 'drink/fight/fuck/smoke postal codes' and the rest was just garbage.
