It's true, one day I brought myself to list to your last four singles and they all sound the same without variations or originality. Being an idol isn't just about singing songs. First of all, the song has to be catchy. Secondly, the idol has to be likeable, charming, gifted and down to earth.

She holds the leader title of all H!P, which is a prestigious position to be in within the agency.

She is the number one featured voice in Musume, no question about that which is also a position she fought to get and has clearly demonstrated her ability to do so.

And she is basically on good friend terms with almost all of Musume and operates leadership of the group in a level headed and professional manner. You don't just allow her to leave to go out on her own in this situation.

And lastly, the solo H!P singer market to be quite honest is a little rough right now. With Abe & Aya releasing a new single and albums on the way, Mano struggling to find a larger base for her solo work. The atmosphere for another solo H!P needs to improve a bit.
You don't just walk away from these factors, she is tied in my too deep.

But with that being said, you have to also consider her long term interests. I'm not sure solo singer has actually popped up on her interests lists the last time I checked.

Even after all that, there is still a chance considering the number of releases H!P has been putting out. It may not be a blockbuster seller but it would answer the wishes of many Ai-chan fans and questions of whether she is dynamic enough to put together a whole album.
