I bought it, but haven't played it yet because I didn't get my bonus item you're supposed to get for having a linked FFXI account. I resubscribed after not playing for almost 4 years just to get those stupid shoes, and they weren't on my character when I made her. I e-mailed S-E's customer service yesterday, but haven't gotten a response yet.

It'll probably take a while then, thanks to their shitty billing system. I really don't want to wait forever to play, but I read elsewhere that you need to delete and remake your character to get them if the shoes aren't in your inventory when you start. I already tried that, and I don't have them. I don't want to level up too far and then have to delete once I get billed.
