Can somebody give me the story behind these pictures of Takano vs. Rika and Satoko?

It's pretty obvious, I mean it says right below what's happening.
Rika, Satoko and Takano are heading to Hokkaido. Takano is travelling by pool car, whereas Rika and Satoko are driving a watermelon car, which is kind of dumb.
