I'd personally prefer the authentic PS3 version over a patched PC version, but a printout read-along translation would be insane to print off and people may start just reading it instead of playing the game. A patched PS3 version would probably require a modded PS3 to play, if it's even possible to do.

The ending had lots of loose ends. I hope they make a sequel, but even if they don't, it's obvious that they originally planned to. And fuck dammit, I want more AA. AAI just didn't do it for me; meeting the old characters was nice but if anything the game kept reminding me of how much I love the AA gameplay and how the AAI gameplay felt mediocre when compared.

As for the last AJ case, I liked it, but I wouldn't say it was the best last case; I liked it better than the T&T final case though. Best last case is still JFA.

Also JFA's last case, despite being awesome, didn't make up for it being the weakest game in my book. Final case of T&T was my favorite, probably because it tied in so well with the previous cases.

As for the T&T final case, I'd admit to it having biggest relevance to earlier cases and that as a whole T&T is a well planned out game, but I couldn't enjoy the last case as much as previous last cases because I was too busy going "wat" over corpse pendulum and Godot being the villain out of nowhere. AA gets away with a lot of unlikely scenarios but T&T last case just kinda took the cake.

As for JFA last case, I think the major impact there was how it started out with the player thinking "Oh what's this another filler case? Meh" only to slowly envelope into something complex and suspensive.

But admittedly I still really like all games, so yeah.

I wouldn't go as far as to say people reading this are not reading Umineko, but I think their experience will differ indeed. Part of Umineko's charm was the very fact it's a SOUND novel. It's like a book with music - you get the atmosphere and mood through the music and get to imagine the visuals by yourself.

They're SPRITES. This was never a h-series, they were 'child friendly' to begin with. The only thing in Umineko that isn't 'child-friendly' is all of the admittedly ridiculously grotesque murders (and implied rape/incest, but that doesn't really figure in until Chiru).
This will not be 'Umineko Lite,' it will just be Umineko with better art. It may even bring a chance for everyone who didn't play the originals because they couldn't stand the art to give it a shot.
They aren't going to change anything major in the writing except for tone down some of the more perverted things Battler says (I know some of Higu's pervy jokes were edted). It's practically going to be the exact same thing.

Honestly I can't understand why any fandom would complain about more of their beloved series, especially since this won't be a replacement but a supplement.

Didn't read the entire thread, but it should be possible to just insert Witch-Hunt's translation into the PS3 game, if someone had the know-how and dedication. With the advent of PS Jailbreak and its clones, fan translations of PS3 games are now possible. The team working on the Wii Tales of Graces translation is planning on translating the PS3 port when it comes out, they've done a small proof of concept mini translation for Vesperia already.
