Recently I heard that in Japan an idol must not have a love life or else her fanbase will collapse and she'll get fired from her job because an idol must be pure and available. If what I heard is true this leads me to believe that all preg pics of the iDOLM@STER girls double as BAD END pics because idol getting pregnant = her losing her job.

I think it's just a matter of focusing on her job rather than frolicking around with her lover. Depending on the period, being an idol can be a very demanding and time-consuming job from which you can't exempt yourself.
All other explanations are plain bullshit made by a vocal minority of obsessed fans, whose opinions are hardly shared by the rest of the fanbase. From what I've seen, actual fans are usually pretty understanding and forgiving, at least enough to understand that they aren't in a position to demand anything.

On by the way, you can always imagine that the girls depicted in those images had given up their job as idols to marry Producer-san and that they got pregnant afterwards.
