Sounds like you'd put money on Halo as well, as would I. But see here's the thing, one does not simply buy im@s. You buy im@s for $35 then spend an additional $200 on content, I know I've spent $80 and I have another $60 at least that I want to sink into it and that's just for songs. And then they've got more Xbox live accounts with im@s than they've sold games which means people are sharing their games and other people are buying download content.

So im@s doesn't need to outsell units in order to make more cash, the damn game is like printing money but it's got to sell a ton of download content to bridge the gap between it and the number of units sold for Halo.

It may not be a question that's very fair to ask because Halo makes money not off download content but subscriptions to Xbox live which then allows you to play not just Halo but any Xbox game. Judging how much Halo itself makes and not all the Xbox games people want to play with their accounts may be impossible.

Still, I'd certainly like to know whether or not im@s can outstrip Halo game sales based on download content or not.

Halo 3 has sold what, 10,11 million copies? I don't think im@s has even broken half a million. Even if every user were to spend 150 dollars on average for DLC, and Halo users did not buy DLC, I'm sure Halo would still easily far surpass it in profit.
