So far I haven't seen much I would actually consider "ugly". Gritty, maybe, but not really ugly in comparison to a lot of big cities.

Though I do sort of get the Half-Life 2 vibe from some of them. IRONY: probably just as few kids as in Half-Life 2 as well, if the census numbers are any indication.
