"You did great, Marisa."

I put my hand on her shoulder and looked the tiny girl in her arms.

It was a long, problematic birth and for a while it looked like things might take a turn for the worse, but they -- my two 'precious things' -- pulled through. Our daughter, it seemed, was going to be just as tough as her mom.

"You're spacing out again, Anonymous."

"Am I? ... I suppose I am."

"Hmm. Even now, you're not serious. You know, I really can't believe you sometimes, da ze."

Marisa gave a little frown. The kind that I knew was really a smile. When did she become so cute?

"Have you thought of a name, yet, Anonymous?"

"Mm. Yeah."

Of course I have. Thinking back, this is the only name that could be suitable for our child.
