Hello /jp/.

I found this board some days ago, noticing, that this is for sure the most serious imageboard on 4chan. Reading some rules before I post here, I discovered the game "TOUHOU". It's told that /jp/ threads mostly are about TOUHOU-related stuff.

Now, I want to learn more about the TOUHOU characters. I already googled it and found a touhou-related wikipedia. But the character entries only describe their appearence in the different games.

Are there other, translated sources for looking up touhou characters, their behaviour, etc.?

Download a torrent with all games.
Play them.

Download the Touhou doujinshi torrent.
Read all the doujinshi.

Download the Touhou lossless/lossy music torrent.
Listen to all the music.

After you've done all this we can talk.

Protip; Touhou isn't a part-time thing. People except you to go all out. And even if you won't at least try and pretend you are.

- Touhou games for the core and heart of Touhou.
- SFW doujins for fun and you get to know the characters better in all their interpretations.
- NSFW doujins for faps.
- Remixes for Touhou music (you get to hear the original ones in the games).

Maybe the anon at >>6008160 was a bit harsh, but it's kinda true. It takes work to "get into" Touhou, sure, the games give you a very good starts, but there are still many games. There's a lot of material to through to fully understand and enjoy Touhou for what it is; a subculture phenomenon.

But if you just wanna play some fun games and leave at that then that's okay too.

>> No.6008235

Aww yes, I remember how I was introduced to TOUHOU. - And how it changed my life.

All of you guys got introduced to this game after reading a yuri doujin, of course.

Thanks for your kind post. I'm going to download some of the games and - of course - some doujins might be fine, too.

Makes me wonder what Touhou that was which Pokémon. Do you remember?

It was the music for me. I had a friend who would spam me with batches of music every now and then (which I didn't mind) and he started mixing in Touhou music at one point. I asked about it and after that it all just went by itself and here I am.

I recently took some of the old favorites from those batches and looked up and downloaded the albums they originated from. It was kinda nostalgic. Sometimes I forget how much time that has actually passed since I first got interested in Touhou.

touhou isnt a secret club

despite what people wish to tell you.

just look at the touhou wiki, if you're into a bit of reading. read the mangos. play the games.

most likely, if youve been on the internet for a great deal of time - youve probably been forced into some sort of touhou culture. once you start looking up characters, musics, and behaviours the internet/chan/f board itself becomes clearer and easier to understand. odds are youve been subjected to the music or one of its many remixes. and thats where most people start unknowingly.

basically. if you want to know. go find out. the information is out there, and it doesnt take very much google to find out everything you need/want to know.
granted im not one to discuss my knowledge of touhous with other people, or anything.
