Hong Kong > Japan > China > South Korea = Taiwan > North Korea.

Any disagreements?

>> No.6005166

Hong Kong and Taiwan are regions of China, you seem to have difficulty understanding this.

>> No.6005161

I think you got your arrows wrong. Best Corea is obviously best.

They have developed their own, distinct cultures for various reasons, and neither is entirely under the control of the Chinese government. Hong Kong has limited autonomy, and Taiwan is essentially a second state.

In terms of where I'd rather visit/live:
Japan > Hong Kong > China > Taiwan > South Korea > North Korea

In terms of food:
Japan > Taiwan > China/Hong Kong > Koreas

sage for /int/-tier thread.

HK and Taiwan having "distinct culture" cannot be used as argument. Fujian has different local culture compared to Xian, and yet both are under the umbrella term chinese culture. HK is chinese culture. Taiwan is chinese culture. You cannot compare any tiny region to an entire subcontinent. This is faulty.

Additionally, limited autonomy does not mean separate country. And having a rebel government also does not mean a separate country. UN agreed, don't bother them about it. Entire thread's validity is null.

God damn american white anglo saxon protestant sheep.

I know very little about Hong Kong. Why is it considered so great? or is that mostly in contrast to mainland China?
BY the way, I'm all in favour of a democratic independent Taiwan. Fuck China's hegemonistical doctrine and forced conformity.

Except no sensible person in the world (unless you're a uncultured white trash) would ever group HK/Taiwan with China.

It is to be expected, Hong Kong had 100 years of British rule, and is guaranteed certain rights withheld from the mainland Chinese due to its status as a special administrative region.
